Guys, Adding this to the mix. Just a first shot, rough cut recording though. Would appreciate your thoughts/critique and adventures in improvement. Ligthnin' Bugs - on Reverbnation Lightnin' Bugs (my server) Lightning Bugs Chapman Jones [V1] I never used to pay attention I was stranger to my life 'Til I saw you dancing in the parking lot That's when I saw the light [V2] I thought you might have been an aberration Yeah, a heat wrinkle in my heart But the scene was so hot that when our eyes locked They lost power in New York [Chorus] I took a jolt to the heart The voltage blew me apart I could feel our bodies glowing Electricity was flowing With the kisses we were throwing Continuity was growing We were so in love I hope we never unplug We were just a couple of Lightning bugs [V3] You could feel the current pass between us Yeah, a big surge was coming on There is no comparison to Thomas E. Edison But baby we were both turned on [Chorus] You could see the sparks fly We were lighting up the sky I could feel our bodies glowing Electricity was flowing With the kisses we were throwing Continuity was growing We were so in love I hope we never unplug We were just a couple of Lightning bugs ** Chap

this is clever lyrically and energetic musically.....I like it, well done. At first pass, I thought "unplug" didn't work.......but after reviewing it all again.....I think I had lost my mind for a minute. This song is a musical smile.

I thought it was going to be a novelty song, but this is an excellent piece of work.
