here's a new one from this morning. http://soundclick.com/share.cfm?id=13483477Blue Nights Blue Days i look around,in the room,at our memories all in bloom everywhere there's something that reminds me of you time heals, that's what i've heard, but your goodbye is an echoing word it breaks the silence,it cuts right through blue nights blue days, every one of them coming my way since you've gone away, gone away blue nights blue days, every one of them coming in play since you've gone away, gone to stay i tell myself,i'll get by,soon as i stop these tears i cry let it rain let it rain, see if i care i sit alone,in the dark, can't pull a smile from a broken heart i call your name but you're not there [chorus] all my friends, they mean well, but they don't know this living hell their lives are shining in the sun they don't know, how it feels, how a heartbreak couldn't be more real when your love has come undone [chorus]

Nice relaxed delivery, and like the guitar playing (even if it not you playing !) and the sax adds some "soul" to the mix.
Nice job,
Kevin

Hey there Mike. Nice jazzy feel. Isn't BIAB something else? I am upgrading to the 2016 version for Christmas.

Hi Mike. You're getting better at it. If I had a sugg to make I'd probably sugg that you change the melody in the chorus so it's a lot different to the verse.

Wow. This Band in a Box is sure an amazing thing. I really like how you pulled this together. I'm pretty sure I would just pull my hair out if I even tried something like this. The sax was really cool & unexpected. Loved that. The end was kind of unexpected too. Overall, a pretty nice tune.

I enjoyed my listen, Mike. I agree with Vic though, about the chorus melody. You wouldn't neccesarily have to change the music, just your vocal. Take it where you would if you were singing harmony with yourself, a couple of steps up at least part of the time. It will give the song a little break and add more dynamics to it. Just a thought. I like the addition of the sax as well, gives it even more soulfulness.

Seriously?? This was all done with Band In A Box?? Great song!
Nice lyric. "I sit alone in the dark... can't pull a smile from a broken heart." That's great!
I too wished that the chorus was more different than the chorus. But some songs are just like that.
Great job.

I like it Michael! And yes we do love sad songs. I loved the line "i sit alone,in the dark, can't pull a smile from a broken heart". Great stuff! I have Band in a Box 2014 but I get too jammed up trying to get the right sound and lose the muse. Looks like you figured it out. No criticism, except maybe a bridge? But it works great just the way it is and you're already over 4 minutes. Maybe increase the tempo a tad, to get the time down a bit and add movement. Cheers! Great Job
