When I was young, our Civics Teacher would always emphasize that Criminals and Traitors could not be candidates for public office. If true, why is Manning considering a run for the Senate? I know "it" received a "pardon" from the previous "President" but that does not forgive the fact Manning was a Traitor. Have the laws changed or is this just another extremely loose interpretation of the Constitution of the United States? The 14th Amendment comes to mind? (I realize it was invoked after the American War Between the States to prevent Confederates from holding office... and was essentially brought into being as an extra measure of protection for the freed Slaves.)

Then, when considering the qualifications for a Senatorial "run"... I suppose the "vetting" language could be interpreted very loosely by a Wall Street or San Francisco Lawyer to encourage one who betrayed the Nation to consider "itself" to be qualified?

Where in God's Name is this Country headed?

When someone is pardoned their entire life's criminal history is erased 100%, from parking tickets to child molestation I believe. (Please correct me if I am wrong). If I am right, I think it should be changed to only crimes you have already been convicted of doing and where time has not been fully served. I also think all crimes they are pardoned for must be listed in detail. But it seems to me even crimes no one has discovered yet are forgiven which is why Mark Rich is not back in jail. I also think you should be on life probation where the pardon is overturned should you commit another felony in your life.

Presidential pardons are for federal offenses only, I do believe. I doubt Manning has much of a chance but in fact I think his sentence was "commuted" not pardoned. In any case. he can run for Senate with a criminal record -- as can Joe Arpaio.

...and so, the debate continues. Arpaio was railroaded by a bunch of liberals who don't give a damn about border protection from illegals. Manning was Court Martialed and found guilty... then "let go" by a liberal masquerading as a President. Those of you who served in our Country's Military should see the poor condition many of our military units now endure. Inferior equipment, ridiculous pay and only recently... the respect they so richly deserve.

If Schumer and Pelosi and their ilk are correct... our only National decision is to decide to whom we should surrender! They want the illegal votes... and thus, fight vigorously to prevent us from requiring Voter ID at elections... claiming Racial Discrimination. Yeah, right! The cotton pickin' race card again... and again... and yet again.

It seems to me that a Congressional Black Caucus is a Racist thing. Can you imagine the uproar, rioting and looting we would endure if a Congressional Caucasian Caucus were brought into play?

Many elected officials become criminals after they get elected. I think it happens on both sides of the aisle... LOL!

My oldest brother works for the Alabama attorney generals office. Jeff Sessions used to be his boss. After Sessions was appointed US attorney general I was talking to my brother on the phone. I asked him that if Sessions offered him a job, would he take it. He said "Hell no. I don't want to get involved in politics and end up in jail".

I haven't been impressed by anything Sessions has done... he's doing more to add water to the swamp than to drain it. I think a record number of crooked Senators and Reps from BOTH parties Lindsey Graham and John McCain both make my skin crawl and Schumer and Pelosi make me want to tear my skin off and they are FAR from the biggest crooks or creeps in their parties. We're seeing a large number of retirements, many think because the hammer may start falling on both parties, but the problem is that the FBI and CIA are protecting the worst of the worst because they are corrupt in even worse ways than the politicians themselves.

Meanwhile this fake Russian investigation is an attempt at a soft coup, while the Dem nominee and her cohorts are clearly guilty of ACTUAL collusion and corruption, meanwhile Trump is playing footsie with the big bankers who are killing our country and the world and rattling the same old sabres the past 8 of 9 administrations have (and many before those). Of course we can't fix it as we'll die trying and we can't burn it down as we'll die as a result. The stock market is doing great for our retirement accounts but it will massively crash long before we get there and if we allow the gov to move us over to digital currency we all become slaves especially when you add 5G technology (don't get me started) and the Internet of things (even worse). We are fudged folks....

I wondered about Trump's irritation with Sessions when he recused himself about the Russia Charade. Now it is obvious he wanted Sessions to be a bulldog in the FBI China Closet... LOL! Speaking of Banks... where is the interest these plodders used to pay us for the use of our savings account balances? We need some steady and equitable regulation... and don't get me started on Insurance Companies. The FBI and the IRS both need a large enema to purge the Obamaites from their midst.

5G technology is not for me. The Internet is probably going to devour us all while the CIA and Intelligence Agencies gather our data for purposes other than what congress intended.
Welcome to the third world.

You literally can't hide from 5G... it can see you in your house, it can see what you are carrying in your pocket or in a bag, it can watch what you do in your home... it's radiation with proven terrible side effects for a small percentage of people who will not be able to avoid the waves coming through their homes and everywhere else they go and the worst part of it is that you can't stop it by not using the service.. it will be everywhere there is coverage and they expect to have nearly 98% coverage (minus a few areas of wilderness Alaska) at launch and worldwide coverage of every inch everywhere eventually. When that happens the entire world will be living under authoritarian rule (far worse than today). They already use this technology in law enforcement to take people out and control crowds with directed intense beams which they will be able to use against people invisibly in their homes behind walls. It's worse than any sci-fi film.

Hmmm---- I wonder if the Cubans have something similar or borrowed from "Big Brotherski" and used it on our embasy?

Does this mean there will be a market for lead-lined suits? LOL! I know, this does sound serious... so forgive my attempt at levity.

Surely citizens can get our Government to regulate or eliminate? I suppose we can do a "look up" on line to discover more... or is this being suppressed by them?

What is 5G? I try to keep up with the news(real or fake) but 5G must have escaped me. Sounds like something the anti Christ will use when he appears on the scene.

Aw, Well, Humm,
WHAT A TANGLED WEB WE WEAVE, WHEN WE FIRST PRACTICE TO DECEIVE. I am donning my Tin Hat so the Government can't spy on me! Draining the Swamp is a job even Superman will have a hard time doing. Whats-her-name may never be sent to Jail but the exposing all her dirty secrets is killing her. Manning running for Senate is another big joke. I doubt Manning has a snowballs chance of getting elected to anything.

Hi Ray:

I agree that Manning's audacity is a joke... but it's a slap in the face of every American who has served in our Military to know a traitor is running. I still doubt the legality of it.

Hopefully, the loons of the left will have fulfilled their promise to leave the country after Saint Hillary lost... and there will be nobody left to vote for "her."
