That's great to know, Travis:
I hope he's doing well, enjoying life and making a living doing what he enjoys... hopefully, music. Send him my regards if you have the time and opportunity.
All the best,
----Dave

Tell Jim my wife Linda says hi and wants to know why he doesn't come around any more? Let me know what he says okay Travis? There's no reason he's not stopping by and pulling up a bar stool now and then.

I recall Jim on here. Even though he had some good insights the net is not all together a vehicle for conformists or conventionalists. I don't mind the input not being conventional. There is not anyone despite their attitude doing the heart and soul expression for that long that does not want to be understood.

Jim and I rarely agreed on anything here, but we still made an effort to stop in Edinburgh, Scotland during a UK tour to have dinner with him. I don't mind people I disagree with as long as they don't make personal attacks on people they disagree with rather than discuss whatever is the issue at hand. I am not sure I understand your comment above, but perhaps that was your overall point.

I am only what I am, which I don't claim to be much. I looked at what gets critiqued of me, all though I am not skilled on the instrument. I know Jim had some special skills. But the net and chats can only reveal so much. I have more of an inkling now of what should be understood of me to be closer to the same page. But the net is not a place for much standards or conventions. Jim, from what was posted on here, felt he could not make a difference on the net.

To add, if a member is going to prebase efforts on another member, at least be sure that that member might be making the same attempts. One that is not a douche can say they do not understand something without minimizing efforts.

When someone agrees with me I get mad -- How dare they try to muscle in on my stupidity - I worked decades to be this idiotic-it's a gift.

I don't. feel a need to ask about what at least I am. suree of. Did not post for that. Some want conformity. That doesn't make them an arse hole or me from not being one. The heart and soul expressin draws off of ego. His should'nt stop him from posting any more than anyone else.

I've had disagreements with Jim before, but in the end we were friends. He contributed very much to the tech side of things and was very welcome on that board. I miss his input.

Travis, that's excellent news. When I saw the subject line, I felt alarmed. I had a nice long Skype chat with Jim some years ago (we were collaborating on a song). I know he had health problems at the time, but it's good to hear that he's still going strong. Please do give him my regards as well if you're in touch with him again.

I have had some pm's and chats with Jim on what I did. I was searching for what I wanted to present more from the mid to late 2000's. I had my thoughts and he had his, though I was not out to o be that different or conform. But he had an impact on what I wanted to present for critiques.
Will he post here again?

He should stop in. None of us are getting any younger and sadly we don't have many younger folks checking in on message boards these days as most are long long gone. I keep thinking that they might have a comeback if the big tech firms keep screwing people over and doing more Big Brother type of actions. Facebook is already getting pretty dated which is why I think they bought Instagram which frankly is WAY more people with young kids. We'll be retro at some point, if any of us are still alive to keep the lights on. I still have to figure out who to give the board to once I go...

Hey Matt, I always forget to ask you why you stopped using Matt Banx screen name here? Do you want the two combined? Brian

I could not use my original log in information. I was not here for 20 months. Whether or not that has anything to do with it. But mattbanx still appears with the 1384 posts. But mattbanx would be fine by me or whatever you choose.
