Hi Group, it's been a while since I've posted so glad to be back. This is a scratch track of a new song. No production at this point; just an open-air mic in my living room and me trying to figure out chords. As always, feedback is welcomed! Lyrics are below. Call On Me Emmanuel Lawrence Copyright 2019 Intro Call on me (5x) Verse 1 You might be lonely You might be scared You might be crying inside And not even aware If you need a friend to talk to Someone to sit up the whole night through Now, you don’t have to be alone I’ll be right there; just pick up the phone Chorus Call on me (2X) It doesn’t matter where I’ll be right there Call on me (2x) (Repeat all) Instrumental Bridge Verse 2 When your grey skies clear And the sun shines down When the rain disappears And your bad times are laying flat on the ground I want to see you smiling No, I can’t wait To see your joy, hear your laughter And help you celebrate! Repeat Chorus & Outro https://www.reverbnation.com/emmanu...on-me-scratch-track?source=artistProfile

So I do Country and CCM... I would think long and hard about making this a pure Gospel tune. You can have a choir assist on this and once the lyric is fleshed out if done correctly could be played in churches around America and beyond. You could develop it as Call on me or you could change position and title Call on God ...As a White man who led worship in a predominantly black church for 3 years I can tell you this. If you write this well, this tune can be sung all over...but you got a lot of work ahead of you. Also once written hire the best damn Gospel keyboardist/producer you can find and I would use a Choir. The hook is there already don’t change it, and if you are a believing man or are even open to writing this one in the Gospel Genre, I would highly encourage it
That’s what I hear

Even though it’s been done a million times lol, I still think this is off to a great start! Fantastic voice! I really enjoyed "Bad Tattoo"...

You have a very nice voice and sing your tune very well - I think with some editing of the lyrics this will be a fantastic song - maybe adding some backing vocals and more instruments into the mix.
