Wanted to see what the impression was out there for working with them? Have you had good results? Is the price right? Any advice is welcomed

Well, Some time ago I had a few demos done by Eastcraft Demos. You can listen to one of them, NUMBER ON THAT TRUCK under Rays Music at www.geocities.ws/fiverosesmusicgroup/ I think they charge about other demo services charge.

I used them a few times but not lately. I think there are better deals out there and better demos. I guess it depend on what you want and how much you are willing to pay.

Thanks Everett. Do you have any place you tend to use that the price is right? I'm pretty new to the game, so any advice is welcome!

Hi Bethany:
Welcome to JPF. Having a Demo done depends a great deal on what you intend to do with the product. If you don't have access to the folks "inside the loop"... the demo, no matter how good it is, probably won't get past the gate guards... and the "round file" they have nearby with hundreds of other demos... and would be demos inside that can, waiting for the trash man. There are several excellent resources right here at JPF. Most of them are pretty busy but you might take time to listen to some of the work they have done over on the MP3 Forum. Most of their work will be posted under the name of the person who paid them but there are exceptions.
I have never worked with the Folks at Eastcraft but Ray and Everett can speak regarding their legitimacy. There are so many studios in Twang Town and other places that will separate you from your cash and deliver you a bag of zeros... so always exercise caution, get some references... and listen to examples of their work.
Mike Zaneski here at JPF is a capable producer and demo resource. He possesses great music instincts in several genres and can either provide the melody to your lyric... or "musicate" something you've recorded and add backing instruments, then do the vocal and work carefully with you to deliver the "product" you want. Vic Arnold is also a talented and creative musician and singer. I suspect both of them are very busy but I suggest you send either or both a personal message inquiring about details, etc.
I know of others but these are the first two who come to mind... and whose reputations are very good.
Best wishes for success, ----Dave

Thank you Dave I am very realistic that this is a tough gig to go into. I totally understand the politics. But I also have a dream and a commitment! I appreciate your advice and will definitely seek out the resources on this forum. That is exactly why I joined. I know there is some major talent here and I hope to tap into those resources for help and advice. Being from the midwest i'm going to be looking locally for musicians too. I hope to post some of my lyrics on the lyric forum for feedback too. I have a thick skin as I am also an actor and as long as it is constructive don't mind criticism at all. If it isn't I can let it go! Thank you for all of your help! It is much appreciated! Bethany

Hi Bethany:
Here's wishing you success as you follow the dream most of us have attempted. If money enters the equation you have developed... there is a gentleman who lives in Omaha who can provide a much cleaner pathway with better odds than the well worn, dream strewn pathway to musical success. I'm told this Billionaire lives modestly and is approachable and kind. Your odds of meeting him are better than the goal of music industry success.
I wish I could offer you better advice but I admire you for trying. One never knows. You may be one of those less than one percent artists or creators who have all the talents needed to open doors and sooth musical souls.
My best wishes for success. Nothing ventured... nothing gained!
----Dave
