Hi guys, This is a collaboration I did with two of my friends from over on the taxi forum, it was submitted to the taxi Road Rally (one of the three submissions it was submitted to has rejected it. the other two are still to hear from) Are there any suggestions/advice if it is not accepted there, what should we do? Help need. https://soundcloud.com/funsongs-1/i-am-an-american-patrioticcountry-worktape

Sounds good.
If it is rejected, I would totally scrap the melody and try another one. It seems to follow the chord tones too much and never really stands out as a "lead' vocal. You may also need a more distinctive lead vocalist to stand out more. Nothing wrong with the delivery, but it just is pretty basic.
Edit: I just noticed that this is posted in the "mentor" section. I am not a mentor, so take my suggestions with a grain of salt!

Nothing wrong with the song but to my taste the music is a little too much up front, drop it back a little more behind the vocals.

Hi Kevin and Everett, I thank you very much for your advice and comments you've given to me. Myself and co-writers we are thinking just what next to do. I think their must be a way out to get this song right so it can be accepted.

Irwin,
I tried to listen but the track has been removed. My question would be what did TAXI tell you? They usually offer feedback with any rejections. I suggest in the future you submit any new songs only once, and see what the feedback is before sending it to more opportunities because you're just wasting money if it isn't perfectly ready and specifically suited for the listing. Try posting it here for honest feedback before submitting to save money and time.
Good luck and glad to see you back here!

Brian HI brian, Thanks for the advice. Sorry you didn't get to hear the song on the link I'd put up here. But I 'll post a PRIVATE link to you....PM. So you can have a listen. Irwin
