Because I dream Intro I’ve escaped inside of books. Pictures that I’ve seen. I’ve lived an exciting life. Seen all kind of things. Chorus I was born with wings Because I dream. I can fly anywhere. Fly anywhere, fly anywhere Because I dream. Verse I can glide over mountains. Cross over oceans wide. I close my eyes, close my eyes Go there in my mind. Chorus I was born with wings Because I dream. I can fly anywhere. Fly anywhere, fly anywhere Because I dream. Verse I can see beyond today. See sunshine breaking thru. I close my eyes, close my eyes Soar up in the blue. Bridge No chains can hold me. They can’t keep me down. As long as I dream. I’m free of the ground. Chorus I was born with wings Because I dream. I can fly anywhere. Fly anywhere, fly anywhere Because I dream.

I like this song. A person's imagination can be very powerful. Imagination, creativity--these are what set us apart. Nice job, Roger

Morning, Kiph:
I don't usually spend much time on the lyric boards but your title caught my eye. After a quick "run-through" I really like the creativity that streams out of this work. Wish I were younger, had more energy and less pain. Reminds me of our friend Barry Butler... who seemed to have more energy than most humans.
There will be a little "shoe-horning" here and there... as this gets woven into a song. I noticed on one of your posts the other day... your are beginning to explore DAW's and similar gear. It is a familiar path, my friend. I had to take it when my "musicator" and vocalizer took a "day job" that was just too good to pass up from retirement.
It is a long road, full of twists and turns. Learn from each experience. Always remember that technology is constantly changing. Pay attention to the chords and notes... then, if you plan to take the plunge, don't be shy in exploring singing lessons. Write and catalog each song... or germ of a song. You can always come back to them even after you have completed... or thought you completed them. Songs are living things and sometimes need little remedies.
My writing/recording purpose has never been to become a "Rockstar." I'm way too shy for that... but if we don't attempt to get the "gist" of the song across, nobody will ever know how it sounds... and can sound. Many music writers advise on sticking to only one genre... but I need the experience... and enjoy the many types and styles of music we enjoy these days... and in days past. Pitching songs is a real hassle... but it does not hurt to try. Just don't let it overwhelm you. Learning to be a "jack of all trades" is very time consuming. Always be your own worst critic... long before you "roll out" something new. Songwriters often get too close to their work... and never hear the minor, obvious mistakes... or different paths a song should be taken into.
All my best to you.... ----Dave

I'm trying to learn to play guitar but it's slow without lessons. Plus I seem to have no rhythm whatsoever! Tried pitching em for a few years but now days they are looking for artists not songs.
