Technology makes it very easy to get a Youtube video published. It's very easy to access and use as a content provider. Whether it is seen and heard is another thing, but Youtube has immense memory and bandwidth so it has lots it can absorb. You need to register and as long as you have an Mp4 file and a connection with decent bandwidth the Youtube side is taken care of. Content technically comes on an MP4 file, video and audio together. To create my Mp4 files I used a combination methods but my hardware, software and methods were simple except for the first. Simplest was the Samsung smart phone camera with a Rode VideoMic. That is just live takes where most of the work is in setting up the shot and then just doing takes. But I have also used Powerpoint, my Tascam Portastudio and a freeware video editor Open Shot, and professional help for our first one Here they are https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5afKOCJ0RXA Reach Out== A World Interfaith Harmony Week Theme song The video was shot in powerpoint and used powerpoint's slide animation to add more movement. It was an official submission and part of our 2017 Toronto World Interfaith Harmony Week. JPFr Colin Ward was also virtually with us for some power guitar work. This one actually needed more help which we paid Marcel Brown to do. He did a live recording of guitars and an augmented church choir and a saxophone which was being driven by a pre recorded piano that served as a base track for those like Colin who joined us in the submission. I took Marcel's music track and combined it with the Powerpoint mp4 export and finished it off using Open Shot so I could combine more video like the opening rotating earth with titling and labeling https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lFPxUcfNps4 Lift each Other Up== Released as part of a Dar Williamsgroup project...submit a song dealing with isolation & the pandemic. This was my cell phone and the Rode mic. This was done submission to a private Facebook organised by small group around Dar Williams who host annual songwriting retreats. Went to one in 2018 and was planning to go again this August but that's out. They are doing a virtual thing but I can't see myself sitting in front of a screen all day when the retreat is all about interacting with a really great group of talented people in an ex Christian now Buddhist monestary on the Hudson River across from West Point https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wxVe5NrjxkE My Broken Hero Martin == I just released this. It was actually and old song I posted here years ago. In this pandemic I've been looking for projects and have gone back my twenty or so years old lyric archive. When George Floyd was killed I retrieved it and rewrote it some, then put the video together with pictures and research from the internet about Dr King's life and words. Also used those of RFK which he spoke the night of Dr King's death. The music was done on my Tascap digital Portastudio, transferred via USB to my PC, Then combined using Open Shot with a n Mp4 I'd created via export from Powerpoint
If writing ever becomes work I think I'm going to have to stop

Everybody seems to be doing just a bit more than me.good videos John.
I always have ambitions but a lot of times they fester for a long time. Then im on to something else.
I have a few albums worth of sports songs , I have easily two concept albums in the vain of the whos concept albums, I'm not good enough to do masters like Tommy or Quadrophenia, but my hearts in the right place lol
I have ideas of doing all cover albums that don't sound anything like the originals.
I'm not sure what it is, maybe it's fear of failure or fear of success or I'm just more a creature of habit than I am an artist. I do consider myself an artist, I see no point of not doing what I like to do whatever the topic might be
I'm working with this new bass software I bought and I'm mulling working with musicians in fiverrr. I guess my biggest problem is focus.

"If one man can do it, any man can do it. It is true. But the real question is, if one man did it, are you willing to do what it takes to do it as well?" –Brian Austin Whitney
