That's a powerful lyric, Travis. Simple and direct. Your anger comes through.
I didn't know this was going on. Sickening.

Been very bad Gavin, much of it has been directed by the far left who jumped on the wagon after the demise of that unfortunate guy. Looting, desecration and vandalism is not a protest its anarchy Cheers Gavin John

Strong stuff, Travis.
Strangely enough I was watching a program on the Incas last night and how they would use children as sacrifices to the gods. I wonder if their monuments will now be next to go.

Morning TD and fellow thread posters:
That is an angry lyric, indeed... to put it lightly. We are living in strange times while fighting an unseen enemy on a world-wide front... not really knowing how best to handle it. Then we saw the video of the knee on the neck of an arrested guy who would not obey. Sadly, he paid for his resistance with his life but we've never seen the video of the "take-down" and don't know what that Police Officer had to respond to in order to get this massive, muscular giant of a man to the ground. We do know he (the Police Officer) was accompanied eventually by three less experienced Officers. Two of them were rookies with only a few days on the job. A sad, terrible day for Minneapolis and the rest of the USA... then the other, seemingly civilized nations.
Then the City reacted before the legal process of investigation was even started... by firing all four officers. This act within itself violates the constitution and sends a clear message to Law Enforcement... We won't have your back until the process of investigation has been completed by qualified and elected officials.
Without knowing any of the facts, the video viewing, flea-brained public began to react in protests which quickly turned to violence, looting and anarchy. Now monuments and memorials are being pulled down by these ANTIFA and BLM Goons to pacify their misinformed anger. Schools are taking down the names of buildings donated to them by philanthropists... and the decision makers (Idiots with socialist leanings) using the most feeble excuses to apologize and appease the mob(s).
The opposition party of Government stands idly by, saying nothing but attaching blame to the current administration. Can Civil War be far behind when this crap continues to go on unpunished? Cooler headed Statesmen need to get their heads together in a bipartisan manner and quell this fake-rebellion, probably financed by Soros.
Sorry, Travis... for my "rant" on your song-thread. Not all Americans are blind. Some of us served in our Military and know the real meaning of Freedom. Now, the "thought police" are telling us how to change the names of product brands that have been used for many years. Where will it end? You can guess. I'm sick and tired of this foolishness and I'll be willing to bet when November Voting arrives... our voices will be heard.
----Dave

Hi Dave My lyric was more of a cry out for the guys who lost their lives in the wars we'd been involved in. The politicians got us into them for sure but its not a political rant it's against the fools who desecrated our War Memorials under the guise of sympathy and outrage at the death of George Floyd. Anarchists, thugs, fools and others with their own eclectic agenda's. Not sure if this took place in the States Dave, but here we had veterans guarding statues and Memorials day and night to protect them. I never get involved in other nations politics publicly but I think you're right come November.. Thanks for looking and commenting, yes it is angry. We've all lost a family member I guess in our World Wars. My lyric was for two cousins of my mother's, brothers killed within weeks of each other in Ypres in the Great War. All the best John

Hi Dave, I like it a lot, and there's plenty of anger to go around. all the rioting and looting over a guy that really was a piece of garbage. the police involved deserve to be punished and they will be. But desecrating statues and monuments to heroes raises it to another level!
