Hi Stan,
Think it says a lot about a man when writers want to memoralize him in song. You did good with this. I really like it.

HiDee Brother Joe, & Thanks!
I heard mention of the Farmall somewhere in the Commentary on Dawg's "Hayride to Heaven" Lyric..I think.
If anyone could write a Religious Experience Song..(with Farm Machinery)..that The Deity'd approve of, it'd be The Dawg.
Thanks for the Kind Visit & Words, Amigo! Big Guy-Hug, Stan

Dawg was allus a Walkin' Annecdote Waitin' T'Happen... ;-)>
The Man Lived a Great, Interestin' Life..Knew WAY More'n' he'd Openly Let On..& Wrote such Fine, Subtle, Beautiful Songs about Whatever Caught His Fancy or Fired his Superb Imagination..that ya couldn't Help but get Inspired by the Guy.
And Miss Him a Lot.

Stan,
Fine job of decribing a fine man. You don't too badly with words yourself. I don't know if any of us are even half the talent he was (in so many ways...not just lyrics), but you're knocking on the door, my friend.
Nicely done, and in your own way.
Alan

You know Dawg's grinning at this one, Stan. Tricia (waiting on you-know-what to clear) Baker
"Grits is one of those country-boy words that is both singular and plural-like deer, elk and sheep. I think the singular is appropriate when there's a modifier that makes it clear one is talking about something specific. Like, 'Grits are good for you, but these here grits is tasty.'"~~Joe Wrabek
