Hey Gang! My guy Tracy, aka Hot Rod Johnny has an internet radio station that he streams his oldies & car tunes on. He would like to dedicate Tuesdays to JPF artists. He does this from his home computer, but since he is using a free server he is limited to 6 users at one time. Depending on the amount of MP3's he receives from you, he is planning on looping the tunes throughout a 24 hour period! He's going to start with the first Tuesday of each month, and if he gets enough tunes he'll be able to do it every Tuesday! The stream can be found at: RadioDaddioPlus http://radiodaddio.dnsalias.com:8001/listen.m3u This is something that Tracy just does. He enjoys it, and he's not out to make any money with it. He just wants to play good music for the world to hear!If you would like your tune(s) to be heard on RadioDaddio e-mail your MP3's to: threynolds2@earthlink.net Send him any info you'd like for him to share in the stream. Hey, remember we're all in this together! If you've got any questions let me know! Charlann

Charlann: Thanks for the tip. Unfortunately, for me, this link opened on a silent page. Is it supposed to stream? It loaded on to my musicmatch player but nothing's playing. Also: Do the songs we submit have to be in the "oldies" style? /Glen

Hey Glen!
He had some tech issues with the stream this afternoon, but it's back up now. This stream is only on on Thursdays right now, but his other station plays oldies and car tunes 24/7.
He will play any genre you send to him! It wouldn't be any fun if he limited it to just oldies style!

Hey guys!
Please understand that this is just being done out of the goodness of his heart. Tracy can set everything up on iTunes and the ball will roll from there! He's just a nice guy & is very supportive of my own pursuits into the muzik biz! The tunes will loop over and over for a 24 hour period.
If you think about it - you could send people to listen to his stream to hear your stuff and they won't have to sign in or join anything. As a plus, your tunes could be heard by someone that went to listen to someone else, and so on and so on.
Any questions? If I can't answer them, Tracy can! threynolds2@earthlink.net

Charlann:
Thanks for sharing this info with us. I've often wondered why AM & FM broadcasters don't jump on this potentially lucrative bandwagon instead of paying tons of payola and playing slop.
My only beef with "internet radio" is that we, as artists and songwriters, seldom get much feedback or know when our songs are playing. Still, it is an opportunity and we need as many as we can get.
Tracy sounds like our kind of guy. Please give him our thanks. Do you know if he will accept a single-song CD? Naturally, I can send him a CD with several songs but thought he might want to keep it simple. If he will accept a CD, does he prefer WAV or MP3 format or something else? I'm on dial-up and it takes forever to attempt a file-transfer and 75 to 80 percent of the time, it ends up in failure. If he will accept CD's, we need a snail-mail address.
Thanks again for sharing this with us.
All my best,
Dave Rice

Hey Dave!
Tracy said sending cd's to him is okay. He said to make the files 128 bit MP3's and mail them to: Tracy Reynolds 4006 Highland Drive Greenbrier, TN 37073
A reminder - he's going to do this the first Tuesday of the month, starting in August and see how it goes from there. Hopefully, it'll work up to a weekly show!

Charlann, this is really cool! When I get my demo tracks back, and vocals recorded, it will be cool to send him something! Right now everything I have made is "rough draft." Please tell him thank you for all of us! Linda

Hey Linda!
It's all very exciting! I'm warning him that he may be bombarded after Pineyfest!
He'll have fun with it, no matter what! He's a former top 40 DJ, so this is old hat for him.

Hi Charlann:
Thanks for your quick reply. I'll start a CD for Tracy tomorrow and try to get it in the mail to him (with a cover letter) on Monday.
As my grandson would say, "You Rock!"
All my best,
Dave Rice

Hey guys!
If you send Tracy a soundclick link for your songs, please make sure they are free downloads. He can't afford to pay for your songs. If you want him to play them on his show please send him an MP3 or cd.
Thanks!

Hi there, I've just sent Tracy an email. I have been doing my internet radio show for 2 years. In less than 2 weeks, I begin my 3rd year! I am in hopes that other individuls that are doing this would like to be in contact with each other and have reciprocating banners/links. I feel that if one of my listeners has finished hearing my (weekly) show, then the convenience of another show would be right there to click on & to go hear. This keeps the opportunity for Indie artists to be heard from all over. I'd love to network this way with Tracy as well. You can find me at www.MellowMelodies.comIf any musicians would like to send their stuff to Florida for more airplay, It's appreciated. Thanks...

It's been a long day... but I just want to say hi again. I've already placed the Radio Daddio truck on my home page with the links to that page. One at the radiodaddio text & the other on the pic. Check it out and Like the song goes, We're all in it together! (Can't wait to see where my banner goes to.) Gnight folks, Goody

Charlann, Hi there... I think the truck is cool. It was pointed out to me this morning that I need to have a seperate page for other Internet radio shows that have primarily mainstream music as our foundation is the Independent artist. So if you go back to the site & take a look and let me know what you think. I did create a nav tab on the main page to go to a new page with his truck & link.
