Hi Stan The title got me straight away, Beer is my bailout. Good title! Lots use beer, alcohol to down there problems, this Aussie girl did along time ago. But it didn't work hah, cause when I would sober up, it was still there. Now I only have one every now and then, on a hot day, or when where having a barbecue. This Aussie girl can't handle it anymore, I make a fool of myself, and I talk too much. Anyway, good write as usual. Aussie friend Michele

HiDee Mz AussiGal!
I'm only TOO Well-Aware how Booze just Dulls The Senses.
(I got one somewhere-back titled "Poor Man' Prozac"...heh!)
BUT...it's VERY Cheap "Therapy"...&..It's ALL some folks CAN Afford these days. Perhaps this song'll make some of the Politicos with Multiple Houses/etc. AWARE there's a Beer-Sipping GIANT gettin' Really-Peeved at the Way Things Are Going...
Meanwhile...HAVE the Occasional Brew..&...Try to Be Content...Nothing MUCH is gonna Really CHANGE..except people's Anxiety Levels..the Next Few Years.
It's a GREAT Time to acquire some Brewery Stocks...JMO~!
(NOT that I can Afford Any!)
Thanks for Your Kind Visit, & yep, Stay Sober as long as ya can Stand It!
Big Hugs, M'LadyChum! Ol' Stan

Hi Stan, I'm off to bed now, gotta work afternoon/night shifts for the next four nights. This Aussie girl knows what it's like to work hard hah. It seems that the cost of living, is climbing fast.
It sounds that you all are having a tough time over there hah.
From my own experiences, I know drinking alcohol is the worst thing that I did, avoiding reality, I'm hoping I can teach other victims, not to pick up a drink, until they are stronger hey.
Yes Alcohol is cheap therapy, but it doesn't work!
Good night my favorite chum, I'm way to tired.
Also, cause you are such a talent, helping me out, would you have a look at my new version of "Don't push my button", as I would like more feedback, from my male JPF chums.
Big hugs
Michele

Hi Again, Mz Michele!
I come from a Family with Several Alcoholics on the Cousins'-Side, BUT.."Know Thy Limits/Drink Accordingly" has always been My Rule Numbah One. So..it's "2 Amberbocks a Day...UNLESS it's REALLY Hot Outside AND I'm doing a LOT of Yard Work." (In which case it's Up-to-a-6-Pack, in spite of What The Wife Who Counts Each & Every One of 'Em Says...) ;-)>
Think I've been Drunk fewer than a Dozen times in my lifetime. Headaches aren't worth it the Next Day/Driver almost killed the whole Carload of us back in College Days (& there woulda been One Less Ohio State Senator & State Congressman..& Songwriter..if he had.)
But..similar to A Smoker..I get SOME enjoyment from what Little I Consume/Don't Plan on bein'-around more than a few more Decades at-best. (I'm also kinda Tired of all the Morality Folks trying HARD to place a Guilt-Trip on what Few Pleasures a Working Person actually HAS to cope with it all.)
Booze..It's as "American" as Apple Pie..(so get Used To It)..heh!
Benjamin Franklin on Beer: "I think Beer is God's way of showing us he loves us & wants us to be happy."
So..Amen to That...& Thanks for Your Kind Re-Visit...& I'm off to Crit your Latest Version of "Don't Push My Button"!
Big Nighty-Nite Hugs Ol' Mostly-Sober Stan

You & Your Beer-Delivery Guys, Mz Sweetie! (I got a weakness for FEMALE Beauty+Brains, me-self...) ;-)>
Thanks for the Very Kind Commentary on Dat Bridge. Think it Says what a Lotta Folks Feel. Just "Doin' My Job"..heh!
I've sent this off to "BillRocker" for Critique.."1 Free a Month"...so expect a serious Butt-Whuppin' back from NashCity. Nothin' New...I got years of Callouses. Heh!
Thanks for Your Kind One...& a Big Appreciative Hug's headin' Your Way from Ol' Stan!~

Stan,
Very fun and true,I can relate. Although some of us choose close friends to bail us out. My friend Jack Daniels, is one of them.. Keep it up, I enjoy your thoughts..

HIDee Jeff-Migo!
Was just lookin' at a Liquor Store "Sale" on booze...& Lordyn is Good Whiskey ever EXPENSIVE~ (I haven't bought much Hard Stuff since the Army PX Days...when $15 would buy most Any Label ya mentioned.)
USED to go thru Lots of Zinfandel...NOW Amberbocks are the Sole Luxury Item. DID get a $40 bottle of Mumm Chanpagne back a year & a Half ago..back when we THOUGHT we'd sold our Spare House off.
But...Beer's just fine. (It's either that..or back on a buncha Prozak the VA prescribed..that's just sittin'.) Beer's healthier, IMO.
My cute VA Doctor..(Quite The Blond!) says there's as much Alcohol in a Beer as there is in a shot of Whiskey..it's just More Dilute. Liver can handle 2 beers a day..(Tho I tend to push that a bit on a Hot Day..heh!) Who WANTS to Live Forever, anyways..heh!
Waal, Thanks Amigo for your Kind Visit & Words, & Let's all hoist a Cool One to the Winning Politico who's gonna Rescue Us All with his Brilliant "Change".
Best Wishes & a Big Guy-Hug, Stan(Amberbock #2 in-Hand!)

G'day Cobber Stan, Gee you write bonzer songs! I like me beer and brew me own, it's legal to brew your own here and it is so much cheaper too. A bloke once told me it is impossible to get a hangover if one drinks lots and lots of home brewed beer and at one Christmas party I confess I enjoyed the company and drank more than a fair measure of me own and it's true I never did get a hangover. It seems that some ingredients in the brewery stuff ain't in the home brew mix and bob's me uncle! so to speak. I think your song tells a greater story than just drinkin and mirrors a lot of truth about today. Maybe one day we might all get some good news and drink to celebrate but I fear that day is some way away. Sorry I digress, I like your bonzer song a lot, best wishes, Ray down under.

HiDee Brother Ray!
Wow..I've never Home-Brewed Anything..but Songs! (My Uncle Jim-in-Michigan once tried H-B Beer...didn't cap it right..drank a bunch of it offa his Ceiling..heh!)
Hey, I've heard that "Bob's Me Uncle" expression...&..It'd make a GREAT Springboard for a Song, ya know???? (Since mine were Jim and Dick and Dave and Ike...it's one YOU oughta write, too!!!)
The major breweries here all TRIED to peddle "Low-Alcohol Beer" a few years back..."L.A." was one of the Brands...&..like the taste I'd expect..it kinda Fizzled..sales-wise.
Beer without Buzz is like Love without Sex---tho of course, too-much of Either'll prolly killya...(with a smile on yer dial, at-least!)
Waal..Thankee for Your Kind, Kind Visut & Words, Amigo! I'm off to have more Evil Fun with a new sorty Halloween Number, "What Scares You Most?" (I allus love One-Word &/or Questioning Titles...WHEEE!)
Best Wishes to You & The Mrs, & A Big Hug to ya Both! Stan-The-Sober-Today!

I always know I'm going to enjoy a TampaStan lyric. Another good one! I'm not sure that "tail out" quite works since it's usually "tail off" and "heart out". That was just a little bump in a very fun read. James

Good Eve, Brother James! Geeze, I cain't sneak a THING past you Californians..heh-heh!
I'm hopin' (& Prayin') that li'l Wrinkle will slide-on-by when the Rhyme it makes gets ear-pleasingly-SUNG-Enough.
(Haven't yet slid a "Pompitous" in-there yet..but I'm sure I'll get Desperate-Enough...Someday...heh!)
Been watchin' the Stocks Slide for another day...hard to believe talk's about "Whether GM can survive for Another year"... I been grooming a gal for a Grandfather Clock Sale..for 3 months now...(& she Really Wants it Bad)...BUT...she's currently Unemployed...Software Creator..& even at "$200 over cost" she's gonna ask her CEO hubby. & so we wait... (She & hub live in an $800K House..easily...Nicest Part of Town.)
Today's GOOD News...been playin' Phone Tag with Wit Ostremko..Pres of Tampa's Museum of Science & Industry. They're STILL interested in doing a Fan Exhibit based on my Fan Collection..(& I'm hopin' this means a Consultant's Fee...& hefty Rental Check..or they even BUY my Collection for enough to pay off alla My Mortgages.) (We tried That with Mel Tillis about 5 months back/he chickened-out..heh!)
DIVERSIFICTION...that's the Magic "Survival" Word. I've never counted on Any-One-Thing to keep us In-Business...(& well-remember losin' $70K of a small inheritance to Stock Prices Diving back in the '90's.) Soooo...keep an eye open for an interesting-lookin' raggedy OLD electric fan...write that Next Big One...& keep that Six Pack on-Ice..until ya can afford the Good Champaigne, Amigo!
La Femme had some Cheap Bordeaux this eve for supper...first bottle in Ages...& Lordy do I ever miss my Zinfandel!
Thanks for Your Kind Visit, Jamigo, & a Big Guy-Hug, Ol' Well-Lubricated Stan
