Midnite,
I don't really know. You should jot down the ones you like by name. You can likely find any of them on CD Baby where you can stream the first 2 minutes of any song any time you want. We have no set dates to shut it down or even final dates for rounds to be finished. We spend as much time as we need and do it as quickly as we can get it done right.

Good! I spend every waking moment I can listening currently just to one huge category. And I'm only at 25% - no idea how long this will take.

Well.. I went through over 40K albums by myself to start off the process. I had to categorize each into a genre (so you can blame me when there's a mistake there). I worked on that from Feb-September. So I can relate. But it's really a 1 person job. Not because I'm an expert in all those genres, but because 1 person can be consistent so that each album starts in a grouping of similar material. If 10 people did it, there'd be total chaos. We're having trouble getting folks to do the gigantic categories.. so thanks for working on one of them!

I think maybe it's overload on the internet , with the holidays, kids out of school, etc. , but I'm trying to do the Roots genre and I have trouble even getting there and after I get there not even half the tracks will play. So far I've tried 5 or 6 albums and got one completed and postponed the rest. I suppose it could be on my end but the computer is almost new. I wondered if anyone else was doing Roots and having trouble Wy

Wyman,
That's a unique problem not reported by anyone else. It concerns me for sure. By any chance are you screening inside of AOL? If so, that is definitely the problem. AOL is a disaster and you must screen outside of it. Launch Internet Explorer without AOL being launched. If you don't have a version of Internet Explorer that isn't tied to AOL, there's ways do download an independent version. (I had to do that a while back). Launch the browser (or download one of the other free browsers out there) and it shouldn't do what you describe. If you're not using AOL, email me directly and let's figure out what is going on. If an album is missing (and there's a few that are) it won't play at all.
Another thing that can be causing your trouble: Check the GENRE listed next to the tracks that don't play. Is it different than ROOTS? If so, you won't be able to screen those. You can only screen material IN THE GENRE you are working on. This happens when someone re-designates a genre for a song or album.
If neither of those things (Genres or AOL) are involved, we need to figure out the trouble.

I have Zonealarm Internet Security (a very good piece of software after searching and trying many) for firewall and anti-virus and one setting (privacy on) seems to interfere with the music interface. With it running, I can click and click and often not get a song to start, or it will start only after several clicks or after going back and forth between songs. When I shut down Zonealarm, the interface works just fine. I finally tweaked the Zonealarm settings and the interface works more or less normally (still occasional problems starting a song versus not having Zonealarm running - but no big deal - especially compared to before I tweaked the settings).
The point being, some problems may be caused by your anti-virus program.

Wyman's problem, was, in fact, AOL. Do NOT screen inside AOL. It won't work most of the time. And if it works once, it won't the next time. It's a problem with AOL. (In fact, AOL will cause MANY sites not to play properly.. not just our judging site). As an AOL user myself, I know. So make sure you're OUT of AOL and also make sure if you launch Explorer that it doesn't say "Explorer powered by AOL" or anything else that mentions AOL in any way. If it does, the same problem will ensue. AOL sucks. Always has. And now that they're nearly at the end of their run, it's getting worse and worse.
