in two weeks, i'm being "downsized" by my NASA contractor. i'll be leaving a great graphics job i've had for over 10 years. as i was pondering the situation, this cartoon concept came to me so i decided i would "flesh it out" and enjoy the therapy. given the overall state of the workforce everywhere, i hope some of you can find the humor as well, because if we don't keep our sense of humor, times can very easily get you down. here's the link: http://2cre8tif.com/cartoon.htmlrock on! r.

Good cartoon -- you ought to send it to a paper or two.

Kevin... thanks for viewing and glad you liked it. Yah, i did send it to the local paper here in Brevard County, considering 4,000 plus spacecenter workers are getting their pink slips on the 29th. i also sent it to the chief editor at the wall street journal, so we'll see if anything happens to it. rock on, r.

That was excellent Richard, the drawing and the joke. I can't draw for beans (kidney, baked, black or pinto)!! Really I would send it to as many papers/magazines (Time, Newsweek, Readers Digest, etc) as possible because it is so timely, funny and clever. You have a real talent. Do a bunch more and get a listing of as many publications as possible and send them out. The more out there the better the chances. Keep us posted!

RICHARD--
COOL TAKE ON OUR TIMES--You having the HUMAN RESOURCE INDIVIDUAL looking un-qualified and un-resourceful--maybe there's ROOM FOR A COMIC STRIP CALLED "HARD TIMES"--GOOD LUCK--

thanks lynn for your kind words. haven't heard anything from anyone yet. the graphics world is so much like the music world it seems... you got to know someone to get your efforts in the door to even be considered "noticed". perhaps time will tell. i do have lots more ideas but haven't started drawing them out just yet. rock on, r.
