Moker...
I've been away for a while. Hopefully I can spend a little more time here now!
Great song! John and I have collaborated on several songs...great guy to work with!
I like the resonator guitar at the intro. Lyric is tight and and the prosody between the music and the lyric is perfect!
All the best...
Alan

Travis, thanks for taking a listen...I was drawn to write to this because of John's classic line "Cowboy Boots, Daisy Dukes, and Baby Blues"...and I'm glad I did justice enough with the writing of the music to garner a cut from Jimmy. It all started with John writing a great lyric. I feel like they did a good job in production and their version slowed the tempo from the pitch demo . The slide work adds a nice feel. thx again...moker

Some real fine guitar chops. Slide is spot on. Vocal in the prechorus is pitchy but the chorus is good vocally. Musically you have the hook but don't really expand on it. BUT--the feel and sound of the tune are there. Love the way it goes to full production later in the song--nice build up there.
Solid work.

Scott and Max, I appreciate you guys taking a listen. Scott, they put some thought into the production on this, the lyrical and musical hooks compliment each other well in this version... and yea Max, I'm diggin' the slide and acoustic working together too...thx guys...moker

Zeek, thanks for the listen and comments...once you agree to let someone cut what you've written you kinda get what you get. I think they did a great job on it...part of the song's strength is that it's a love song so musically it's really easy to clutter it and lose the message...I'll agree there's a couple parts where a few minutes on melodyne in the mix room might have helped a bit, but overall it's a good job...a major label would take it to the next level, it's a good indie cut that's been well received...thanks again, rock on...moker

Cool song Moker!
I like the short break before "I love you". Gets you ready for the chorus which I was wanting to be a bit longer. I really thought the song could be a touch faster too. Maybe you had it right the first time?? I never heard it.
Either way these are just (my) minor issues. Really solid song!
