Hey all(: It's been a while once again from me. But I just whipped out a song today. I wrote it and made a rough recording all in a few hours, and I'd love to hear you guys' input on it. The song is on my bandcamp page, but I'll still be going back to master it, ya know? Well, let me know what you guys think!

Your phrasing is a bit unusual. I am not sure I could have followed your vocal with reading the words. But, you have a good story and a nice sound. Jim Colyer

Hey! I liked your melody and lyrics for this one. Where did you record this? Vocals and acoustics seemed a little muffled in places, which is why I'm asking.

@Jim Yes, my phrasing was very odd, but I love doing that sort of thing with my music xD I should have written the lyrics out to match my actual phrasing though /:
@Ann I recorded it in my bathroom with a foam wall around the tub (which I was sitting in) xD It's kinda muffled (which I also noticed after a few listens) because I sway when I sing >.< And I was moving closer to and away from the mic. My own awkwardness xD
But thanks to you both for the compliments(:

I am not one to suggest literal lyrical changes...but perhaps changing "this thing we call life" to: "this thing called life" would help...small nit I know but that small re-phrase seems to pull that line better IMHO.

I liked this a lot! I was bobbing my head along with it as I listened. I like how you sort of keep rhythm with your voice. I wish it didn't end so abruptly, but that's my only complaint. Nice job!

I absolutely love your delivery on this! It plays so well against the simplicity of the guitar part. Love the possitive lyrics, and I am looking forward to hearing this finished!

I'm working tonight again with Sub, so I have to save my ears today. (Medical ear-issue story). So, Please excuse my not listening at this time. But I can suggest that when you sing as you sway back and forth, to hold your mic and move it the same way, keeping with your mouth, not to loose anything. And, not to loose your natural way of getting into the song. That's COOL! Whatever makes you relaxed and focused. Just make sure your hand stays put and not cause any rubbing or finger moving sounds, as hands on mics can do that when not being careful. On stage is fine with all that, of course, as the band covers up those sounds. The recorder is not forgiving though. I LOVE the fact that you thought to get Bathroom reverb! (I pictured you sitting in the tub)! Funny and Cool! And with that wall surround! LOL...Love that about you! Keep it all going! Johnny

Haha thanks to the three of you ^_^ And to Johnny, my mom thinks I'm crazy when she comes home and hears my voice echoing out of the bathroom xD But she always loves the finished product, so no complaints from her(:
