Hey Guys, I put my daughter foward ( with her excited permission ) for a spot in an upcoming feature film being shot out here next year. It's all very legit, through a well known casting agency, most probably a bit or extras part, but it has to go through the starnow.com website. http://www.starnow.com/CharlieBrownWoodAll comments/suggestions for improvement would be most appreciated. cheers, niteshift

She's very cute and fits the part well. I would call her skin color fair, not olive (unless they asked for olive!). I think she is better than an intermediate dancer and I bet her drumming and vocal skills are at least intermediate (unless she is tone deaf and has no rhythm).
The photo on the bench at the station is a bit distant. Does she eat those cockroaches? Tell her congratulations on learning to speak with an Australian accent at such a young age.
If it were up to me, she would definitely get the part.

I think Charlotte fits the description to a tee, nite! She really glows in these snapshots! The photos in everyday situations where she's "in action" works the best, Imo.

Hey Nite! Charlotte's very appealing and natural looking. Yes, definitely a good fit. Great photos! Since the brief mentions "strong swimmer", you may want to include that in her resume (unless Charlotte isn't a strong swimmer). Good luck, John

Hey Colin, Thanks mate, yeah I might look at "upgrading" the musical/dance gradings, but it may be better to undersell yourself ? The bus station photo is a bit distant, but I think I just wanted to capture the surroundings. A go-anywhere kid perhaps. And man, the Oz accent took a lot of work... maaaaate. Hey Magns, cheers for the suppport ! Hey John, Didn't think of including the swimming bit. I'll edit it in. One thing you learn from music submissions is to check all the boxes, so hopefully they're all checked off. Thanks guys, most appreciated ! Will now go and dream of playing stage Dads and having to "liase" with the more mature blonde haired blue eyed women on the baech shoots...... for professional reasons only of course. cheers, niteshift

Geoff, she looks TERRIFIC!!
There is an intensity captured in her eyes in several of these shots which is very attention-getting and something to like.
Yes, edit for Strong Swimmer, as in the one pool shot she's just floating -- LOL!
I liked it!! Great job and best wishes to ya maaaate!!
She's got a GREAT face for the camera and sounds like personality to match! Love her freckles!
Linda

Hey Linda, Thanks for the encouragement mate. You don't think the photo in the snorkling outfit alludes to swimmer ? Ok, ok, ..... I'll edit it in. Thanks again. cheers, niteshift

Update ; 22/02/2012 Well, Charlotte didn't get that particular part, but has, in the meantime been picked up an agent, been sent for an audition, and got a role in a commercial with a well known advertising agency which is being shot next week. Little steps..... little steps.... cheers, niteshift

Got your wife's genes, did she? Sorry, Pal - just kidding. Couldn't resist She's adorable and photogenic. And those piecing blue eyes! With all that and parents who know what to look out for, seems like a sure thing. Any more news on the commercial? Scott

Hey Scott, Yeah, it's all working out well. The origional submission didn't work out, but an agent who is associated with the origional casting agent picked Charlotte up, and she's done 2 ads in the space of 3 weeks. This one, national.... http://www.youtube.com/user/Miloaust , you have to blink cos you'll miss her ( at about 20 sec )... and a great global film shoot 2 weeks later which will be broadcast globally in about 2-3 months time. It's all good bud, and you're right..... lucky she got her Mum's genes. cheers, niteshift

Thanks Jean! I'm trying to embed the latest video, without much success. It's the one for the global ad which has just been released. It's here ... http://youtu.be/WMGuw1d2ojU Is there some kind techo soul out there that is able to do this ? This is the "master" ad, where they went and did 12 location shoots around Oz ( of which we did one ). Each of those shoots will then have it's own ad, and be able to be accessed via a phone/tablet app. Kinda "click on your place of interst" and each segment will expand out, with video and stills. I don't know about all that. I can't even embed a simple youtube video. cheers, niteshift

Those videos are both very cool, Nite. The most recent one definitely makes me move Oz higher on my list of places to visit - which I reckon is the whole point. Congrats! Scott

What Jean said. She's a natural! I wish her well.
"Grits is one of those country-boy words that is both singular and plural-like deer, elk and sheep. I think the singular is appropriate when there's a modifier that makes it clear one is talking about something specific. Like, 'Grits are good for you, but these here grits is tasty.'"~~Joe Wrabek

Hey thanks Tricia,
Everything is going well.
The above ad has gone ballistic, ( 20 million+ downloads in China alone ) and everyone is very happy with it. You should be seeing it on US TV screens by now apparantly. The North American market was the last on the agenda after going through Asia and Europe.
There is more on the horizon, so we'll see how we go. Fingers crossed !
cheers, niteshift

Very cute girl. I like how down to earth it all sounds and the answers don't puff out any chests or sound phony. Good work, but then this is child's play for your family isn't it? = )
She has great piercing eyes which should get someone's attention. Looks like an All American Kid, only from Aussie! hahahaha

Geoff,
Actually the dog photos are outstanding, particularly the one on the right. I'd move them up where folks are more likely to see them, at least the bottom right one should be near the top.
Good one mate! = )

Couple of pieces of feedback - 1) Make the primary photo one she's smiling in. Or showing some strong emotion - the shot with the hat, she just looks a little deer-in-the-headlights
2) "No professionally trained acting experience. Grown up in the industry, around TV and sound stages. Occasional commercial work." I'd remove this line entirely. It's not necessary.
3) At the bottom of that section, add "Full credit list available on request" (unless those are her only credits).
Hope that helps - she's adorable!

Hi De Hi Stan, thanks for dropping by, I'll be sure to pass on the good vibes. Hey Brian, I'll try and do a mix and match. Thanks for the comments, those two photos took 2 hrs and a whole bunch of cheese just to get that far. What did folks say about working with children and animals ? LOL Hey Ms Debra, thank you for the comments. I've done as you suggested and removed the "No professionally.." bit. It's probably no longer necessary. Many thanks ! cheers, niteshift

The whole site has been updated to fit all mobile/wireless apps, so may have to update the pics as well.
*sigh* , more pro pics needed I think.
