I'm a singer/songwriter looking for a pro lyricist to collaborate with. I have two Cd's out and have toured the country many times. I have also open for some major acts. I'm looking to finish a lot of songs for an Independent record deal I'm working on. I can e-mail/mp3 you some of my completed work if you are interested. New Country/Rock

Thank you for your time,
Dave

You could try Bernie Taupin. I hear he's pretty good!

Best of luck!

"...looking for a pro [professional] lyricist to collaborate with..."

Hello,
Good luck making contact with the "creme of the crop" who dwell safely behind their gated/walled communities...

I am thinking you might possibly have better luck developing/training a professional lyricist than finding or making quality contact with one.. a long drawn out time consuming process...

Only brainstorming again,
S.L.

I am a lyricst. Few minor cuts. Over 300 demoed. A dozen or so collabs under my belt.
I do compose a bit. \Can't sing for nuts.
Cover most genre.
Lean to blues/jazz/ country/bluegrass.
There are over 200 samples of my stuff on my soundclick site if you care to browse by what genre you are doing.
if you think i am on a limb similar to yourself e-mail me
I probably have around 2,000 lyrics I haven't got to noise yet.

Graham,
A note to say hello, and let you know.. if you were within easy driving distance.. say 50 miles or kilometers.. I would have asked to meet with you a long time ago.. just to go over song ideas together...

Problem is I would need a passport and travel half way around the world just sit down and have a cup of tea.. and to discuss song ideas.

If it comes to that [meaning that I were able to do so] I must have exceeded my wildest expectations [dreams] beyond measure... you know.. to be able to travel to Australia to go over some possible song ideas with you!

Anyhow someone will probably make it and develope those hit songs with you!

Yours truly,
S.L.

Sharp, When I say "pro" I don't mean that you have to have a number one hit. All I'm saying is you take writing your lyrics seriously. There are plenty of people out there that say they can sing, write and do whole bunch of other S..T and they can't do any of it. So I don't want to waste you're time or mine. As for trying Bernie Taupin, Java do you have his number!!

Hi Dave,
What kind of songs are you looking for? I have a wide variety of mostly country songs, copyrighted, demoed, ready to go. My Publisher is putting up a new Web Site soon with 20 songs. I pitch songs on a regular basis. By the way, where ya from? Thanks. My publisher may want to co-write as he does that from time to time. If you want further info my E-mail is gabres@darientel.net. Do not click on the link above as it is now defunct. Good luck.

Dave Rav,

Who wrote the songs for those cds and why can you not use them now?

Sharpe,
I wrote 75% of those two Cd's, but I'm always trying to write better material and with different writers. So I'm always looking for new co-writers,with fresh ideas and who are willing to write some good music. I am using some of my older music, but I also want new music as well.

Dave

Dave,
Looks like you have a good plan. Another thing to do would be to start contacting music publishers to see what they might pitch to you in the way of song ideas.

If any of the songs they pitch to you seem real good try to make contact with the writer to see if you can go over other song ideas together with them.

Like I said before I am just brainstorming or trying to think things through. There may not be any clear cut way to make it happen. Just search for good material and others who are willing to bring better ideas to your presentation.

Good luck, S.L.

Thanks Sharp. If things go as they look like maybe doing so at the moment you may be able to have the pleasure, or otherwise, of my company right in your lounge room.
Big maybe, but most things start out as that.
Now back to the subject.
Dave.
i forgot to mention, I have some of my collab stuff on my Graham Henderson And Friends Soundclick site.
Most is either my words first, or me doing music and sing of somone else's lyric, but the Reggea stuff with Skankindaddy is my write to his music.
And on SongRamp. Sisters and Acozean have two of my lyrics to skintknuckle guitar up and charting well Lie, and Who Knows.
They are working another one now I think
I ther hot 100 of rock is the easy way t find them.
Graham
