Hi - Just wondering if anyone has used Bryan Farrish & what their opinion is of them. We're considering other types of promotion ...if you have any other promo companies you've worked with successfully, I'd like to hear about that too. Thanks, IP: Logged |

We have used Bryan Farrish on some of our releases, and they have always done a fair job for us. I have no complaints. We also have used Frank Fara with Comstock for European radio promotion and were very successful with him. Hope this helps. Best, ------------------ IP: Logged |

Never used him personally, but I've only heard good things about him Also, he wrote a great set of articles for the indie music community called "Radio Promotion 101' I believe you can find the series on www.indie-music.com..... Good luck with your release! IP: Logged |

Try to get all the ducks lined up before spending radio promotion money with anybody. Have a touring band in those areas of targeted play. Check that the stations are "reporting stations", and are in the PRO's lists of their scientificly conducted surveys to have at least a mathmatically chance of being surveyed. Not all plays will be counted for as is. It's an average based on the type of stations and the spins your song gets at the time of any survey. Many stations will not be surveyed though. Radio play "alone" can be very empty in meaning and results, so please make sure all of the above are in order, plus some things I'm probably leaving out, or just don't know yet. But from my hands on experience in this, (half a hand at best), and to help prevent some bad feelings you could have in the future, please do your radio business homework as much as anything, if not more, not just who is good at it. The promoter can't go on the tour, or many other things the artist needs to do to make it all worth it. All the best to you! IP: Logged |
