Thanks so much guys. I've been meaning to get back to JPF, listen to songs, do crits, and respond to the posts here. I've been performing quite a bit over the past two weeks, plus dealing with kids, etc. and have not been able to sit down on my laptop to do this. But I thank you so much for listening.

BK, my music partner said the same thing about this song..that it sounds like a Leonard Cohen tune. I'm a huge fan of both Mr. Waits and Mr. Cohen, so that makes perfect sense. I am more of an alt folkie too by virtue of not having the chops to write stuff like Tom, who would do this a bit more jazzy, I think. As for revising this, that might take some time. I am very slow about recording stuff. It is a "once in a year" kind of thing for me these days. My band is trying to do some stuff too and I am holding everybody up because getting me to record stuff is like giving a gator a root canal.

Thanks for listening to my other stuff on Soundclick. I did an EP called The Scarlet Letter that is on CD Baby and you can also find my band, Blackfoot Daisy on Reverbnation. The band does more Avett Brothers, Shovels and Rope, Civil Wars type stuff. We have a ton of songs that we need to record.

Tammy - I have heard of Gov't Mule but never listened to them. I was thinking of Tom's album "Mule Variations" when I put that line in the lyric. That's cool that you also got some Tom from the title too. The title was an accident. I just mixed this so many times I lost count and called it TW9, after I saved it so many times.

I think E Schwartz posted too about adding sound effects. That was my idea initially before I used my kid. I found a site where you can download samples. They had a mule train, godzilla noise, piano noise, etc. I may eventually do that, if-when I get around to redoing it.

Kevin, my kid was up when I did the guitar track. She was in bed long before I sang the song.. The issue was latency, popping and the device driver. I don't have a very stable set-up and I kept having to reset that stuff. It was quite maddening.

OK - I need to get to work. Thanks again, folks.
