At The Window

A window's glass could not hold back the notes.
The strings emote the music that he wrote.
Passing through the glass to float on the air.
Ringing out tones to those who want to hear.
They'd come to listen landing on the sill,
one then another try to get their fill,
of the melody that called them to come.
Music filled their hearts as they picked at crumbs.
When the tones stop, he puts down his guitar.
The birds fly away, singing a new song.
