I posted this recording in mp3 forum and JAPOV asked about my recording set up, as vocals needed more clarity:

I used an old ladder braced Gibson made kalamazoo with a seymour duncan 'Woody' pick up.
I plugged into a chinese made fender blues junior knock off, and set the reverb to 5.
Next I placed my zoom R8 at the foot of the amp, opened two channels and started the recording.
I sang as I played.

Result:
The guitar sounded good, nice and clear. My vocal, was way way back in mix.
So...I opened another channel, replayed original and overdubbed a redo of the vocal over top first one.

What I need is to get two mics...one for vocal, one for guitar.

Another thing could do is chart the music into exact measure and do music only, then vocal.

What is your set up?

Bill
