The other night I watched "The Perfect Storm" for the first time. The action was incredulous at times, but the music was perfect and brought color to the film and evoked targeted emotions in me that would never have occurred if the music was not there.
It is not a question of if, but when...will people be hired to score films with nothing more than a computer and AI. For now AI is miraculous but a fairly rough tool requiring knowledgeable guidance to deliver a good product. As it evolves it will guide itself more and more.
And if UDIO gives a person the copywrites to whatever they create with the product, then sadly, that person can at least claim to be a song-producer if not, writer. No matter how non-musical they may actually be.
