I see what you mean, but the first verse describes somebody not really being honest, he's saying yea yeah don't worry about me... As people often do.

Second verse, he starts giving up the pretense and says go head be a selfish prick and save yourself...I wouldn't do that.

So it's not a different story line, just a change in tone.

I never wrote my bridge for this, so I'm not sure what actually transpired lol.

But I like it minus all the excess jamming
