We tried to get him to perform at our 2009 music awards show, but he was out on tour. For a short time we thought he might be able to do it, which is when we spoke on the phone, but we had to lock the date down in Nashville at the Wildhorse Saloon and it was a conflict for him. He was super nice. I think one of the studio guys we hired to be the backing band that night had worked with him. I tried to remember who, but I just can't recall that much detail post strokes sadly.
