Interesting... "Tax-exempt churches are generally not allowed to engage in political campaigning or directly participating in political campaigns. However, recent changes in the IRS's interpretation of the Johnson Amendment allow churches to endorse political candidates without losing their tax-exempt status. This change is part of a broader effort to settle a lawsuit and has raised concerns about the implications of such a policy on religious freedom and the separation of church and state"
