Franks era it was all them innocent swing on a star songs. Sweet love songs . Nothing like today's lyrics .

I do have a question for you , Is everybody a assholee in New York city , or is that bullshit in movies .?

New York is everything. All of humanity, at its best and at its worst, at all times.
Jersey is an off shoot of that.

At any moment you might see the most heroic, unselfish act, then yiu might see the worst humanity has to offer.

Not assholes, we just come with enormous chips on our shoulders, .

The struggles previous generations had going back to the revolution, settling in ny, building the greatest city in the world, all by immigrants btw.

Didn't do that by letting people fack with them. But when the chips aee down, most New Yorkers do the right thing

Back to Frank, way more than sweet love songs, its how you are hearing it, from somebody representing all that.

The lyrics were spot on, no wasted word, specific, stripped down, AND extremely hard to write.

Very hard to write something simple
