Shite damn robot , it took 40 seconds to make this song . 😂 I wish it took 40 seconds, Ben. I often use Suno as a songwriting tool, and this song was definitely not a "press a button and you're done" song, like Dom often does it. The lyrics took quite a while to develop and finalize. I wrote the chorus melody myself, recorded it on my iPhone, and uploaded that melody into Suno. From there, I used Suno to develop the verse and bridge melodies around my chorus and to experiment with the arrangement and production. So I would actually consider this one a co-write with Suno. I made the creative decisions, wrote the lyrics, created the chorus melody, and used AI to help develop the musical ideas and arrangement. That's very different from simply entering a prompt and accepting whatever the AI spits out. I use Suno more like a songwriting partner/instrument than a vending machine for finished songs. And honestly, that's one of the things I enjoy about it. I can bring in a lyric or melody idea, see where the AI takes it, reject what doesn't work, keep what does, and keep refining until the song feels right.
