I had the same problem, Wendell-- but it's actually really easy. The first thing you need to do is go to http://cnet.com and use the search box to find "Realproducer." The page it brings you to should have a free version of it, which has always done a fine job with me. The only catch with the free version is that only users who have the latest version of RealPlayer will be able to listen to files you create. You can buy the full version (which will allow all users to listen) for $176.00 ... I haven't figured out how to get rid of the "version detector" within the program yet. RealProducer will create the metafiles for you. Just select "create web page" when you make your sound files, and then link to the page it made for you-- that's the Metafile. Are the files you have already saved in RealAudio format? If so, you may be able to get around the "new version" hassle with the freeware. Just use the free version to learn how to make the metafile (copy it and plug in your sound file name) and you should be able to get it working. It may take a little while, but you'll figure it out.
