Linda, This is a coincidence. I like to listen to old time radio shows. Last night I was listening to an episode of "Amos and Andy" from 1944. In this episode Andy and the "Kingfish" decide they are going to get rich by writing songs. Andy had a melody in his head not knowing that he heard it subconciously on the radio, so he and Kingfish wrote some words to it. To their surprise they heard Kai Kaiser and his orchestra playing their song on the radio with slightly different lyrics. They went to the radio station with Kingfish pretending to be a lawyer to sue Kai Kaiser for $10,000. After Kai Kaiser introduced them to the songwriters and gave them a lesson on copyright and ASCAP Andy offered him 5 dollars to forget the whole thing. It was hilarious.
