I completely blew out my voice a few years back, and the first doc I talked to told me I had vocal nodules, and that basically as a singer I was finished! I went to a second doctor who told me it was treatable, and he put me on a cortizone inhaler, and within a few weeks I was good as new! I shudder to think of what would have happened if I had taken the first guy's word as gospel!
