Its taken a lifetime to find you.
decades of mistakes and missed starts.
We smile as we spend Christmas day packing
for, it will be our last Christmas apart.
We'll be together by New Years.
A new town, new house a fresh start
The champagne is already chilling
for this will be our last Christmas apart.
The first months will surely be rough ones
we'll draw on the love in our hearts
next year, come this time, everything will be fine
for this will be our last Christmas apart.
By summer, we'll be celebrating,
having puzzled the pieces and parts.
We'll know the reason belongs to this season
for it will be our last Christmas apart.
