I was not a particular fan of Hermans Hermits or Glen Campbell...however they could not have been used as worse examples to illustrate bad music.... they produced something approximating music and have stood the test of time.....Even I sing "I'm into something good" from time to time. Have a listen to Miley Cyrus "fly on the wall" and tell me it deserves any sort of acclaim. Will people be humming that in forty years? It would be interesting to see what Darius considers good pop that he has heard in the last few months. Re country music GENERALLY it is hardly ever played in the UK. We just get the tip of the iceberg.

"If you are stuck in your musical composing, be unreasonable. Change your environment. If you are stuck in your lyrical efforts, instead of forcing the same old words out, force yourself to do unreasonable things." -Brian Austin Whitney
