Weird.... speaking as one of the millions of *un*insured Amnericans out there, it's seems simple-- if at all possible, get a job that gives you health insurance! If you're a full-time musician that doesn't have health insurance, then try and get a day job that gives it to you. Maybe I'm missing something, but if musicians have any greater job with getting health insurance than anyone else has, then it's their problem.
