Hi Phil! Welcome to JPF! A lot of truth in what you say. I remember an article in Recording Magazine awhile back. There was a composition/production contest. As I remember their review; it stated the top 10 winners had wonderfully produced tracks - knocked their socks off. Then went on to say, but where's the melodies? Best, John
