This song wrote itself over a period of a quarter century. A guy I used to work with long ago and I would "Day-O." He would sing a line and we'd sing Day-o, Day-o bread (which of course is a take off of day old bread.) Then I'd make up a line and so on. It was great fun. I took it a big step further with this song but it all had it's genesis long ago. Sing along with me on the Day-O part if you will.
