I'm just curious what color conventions people follow in their recording. There is no "official" color scheme for waveforms and tracks I know of. I'll share mine, although I play around with it. I usually assign a hue to an instrument group -- guitar, for example, is red. Then bass guitar will be a dark red, and a harmony or secondary guitar will be lighter red or pink. The main vocal is royal blue, and harmonies are light blue. Drums have been yellow, but that doesn't seem right somehow. Keys are green.

"If you are stuck in your musical composing, be unreasonable. Change your environment. If you are stuck in your lyrical efforts, instead of forcing the same old words out, force yourself to do unreasonable things." -Brian Austin Whitney
