I thought Holly and Hollies was a pretty clever connection.
And I liked the Bird of Paradise too.
Here's one that'll get yall.......................
Last two submissions: ......THE HOLLY AND THE IVY-Trad. Holliday Christmas. ......IVY ROSE-Perry Como
My new submission, since lyrical connections are okay, is
......Mairzy doats and dozy doats and liddle lamzy divey ......A kiddley divey too, wooden shoe?
What the heck am I talking about? Well, this is from the bridge:
......If the words sound queer and funny to your ear, a little bit ..........jumbled and jivey, ......Sing "Mares eat oats and does eat oats and little lambs eat ivy."
My mama used to sing that song. Today would have been her 90th birthday. I miss her. So I did this in her honor.
According to wiki, it's been released several times, was number 1 in 1944, and soldiers in WWII loved it and would often use it as passwords.
