Jim my response regarding the writer of Amazing Grace was simply a reply to this comment of yours.....
"It is interesting that the great Hymn you mention was written by a slaver...just further shows the hypocrisy of religion."
I wasn't getting into any "Christian thing". If, say a criminal, were to come to a realization that their crimes were wrong and take positive measures to change their ways. Forget religion. Then they wrote a book or an article espousing the life change they went through, would that mean that they were hypocritical law abiding citizens??
