Thanks for the bump Greg. Off the top of my head I know the answer to 2 of your 4 questions. I will pick the one that has always been my favourite:
Who were Harold Wilson and Edward Heath and how do they figure in Beatles history? When Taxman came out Harold Wilson was the then Prime Minister and Edward (Ted) Heath was the leader of the opposition. So The Beatles were being quite cheeky by singing "Aah ahh Mr Wilson, Aah ahh Mr Heath" directly to these two people. Harold Wilson was the one who brought in the super high tax band for 'un-earned' income but I think The Beatles wanted to even up the political dig by singing to both sides of the house. I’ll answer another one if the thread goes quiet again
