Hi Stan,
Awwww....this has some sad images! Apologizing until he's blind, crawling in circles! Makes us feel like she's kicking a puppy dog! (Oh, but you've covered that angle before in your dog songs!)

HiDee Mz M-D!!!
Yep, sure been a LOTTA Spanielman Moments of-Late... ;-)>
Many's the day I feel VERY Peter Seller-esque, and here comes Kato with an Unexpected "HI-YUH"... (Inspector Clousseau's got Nuthin' on Me...lemmie tellYa...)
Fortunately, La Femme's en-route to Switz once-again March 20th...&...I'm a-countin' the days 'till I get over a week of peace & quiet... (All the time, while moving stuff out like a Bandito..in prep for the April 15th Closing on the Pink Place.)
She SHOULD be real happy when the house sells-off...she's never liked it much. (I'd be happy with a Tent...far less maintenance, and property taxes eat us alive here these days.)
Movin'-Out is great Fun...Many a "Discovery" hidden in closets here..heh. Until I put a scratch or dent in the Sacred Sienna she bought about 4 months back... OOOO..Spanielman Time, 24/7 these days!!!
Thanks for Your Kind Visite, Good LadyChum! Best Wishes, Big Hugs, a Wee FHS, & a "Woof!" Stan

Hey Stan I really enjoyed this. It's sentiment is something everyone with a partner can relate to. One thing that struck me was the persona's over-dramatising his life a bit at the beginning, his life can't be filled with blues if he has had his lover in his life. But I know when people are down in the dumps (like he is), clarity is sometimes lacking. Anyway, really enjoyed the read! Rich

Hey Stan, You know me, Mr. Condensing! Tweaks below, keep or sweep I've Made Mistakes My Whole Life Long (I know you need [color:#FF0000]long to rhyme with strong, but the thought would be "strong-er" without it--"I've made mistakes my whole life")[/color] But This One Love Should Sure Run StrongI'm Just a Man & Nothing-More But I'll Work Harder, That's For-Sure (I'm not a fan of tag-on lines..)
I usually start with a title or maybe a little rhyme or phrase. - Harlan Howard

G'Mornin' Brother Rich, & Thanks for Commenting here!
I've been married 42 Years to a Fine French-Swiss Lady who either Loves Me..or Hates Me...with very little Middle-Ground. (At least things Thaw-a-Bit..in 3 or so Days...) (3's The Record for The Silent Treatment...but for the last 40-some Years, we've had a French Empire Jeweller's Regulator..worth about $7K..that I'd bought over Her Dead Body...for $240.)
We're both "First-Born Kids"...which is like marrying Gasoline & Matches...
But..it never gets Too-Dull around here...heh!
Thanks again for Your Kind Visit & Insight, Amigo! Best Wishes & a Big Guy-Hug, Stan

HiDee MeisterMan!!!
Hmm...Waal, I wuz havin' some fun there with Alliteration... L's on the First Line...S's on the Second...
As for the Taq-On...I think a Guy talkin' to a Skeptical Gal Listener kinda NEEDS it...for Further Assurance...that he's Sincere.
I've often kidded that for some folks, a glass is "Half-Empty", others "Half-Full", & for La Femme it's "Where's The Crack in it?"
I DO Appreciate Your Fine Feedback, Amigo...and WILL ponder better Lines..throughout..before it ever gets demoed.
Back to my fun-filled day of coughin' & moving things...heh! I'm ahead of schedule...but stayin' thataways ain't easy!
Best Wishes & a Big Guy-Hug, Stan

Hey Stan, Just re-read your lyric and noticed something I missed on the first read:
& I'll Apologize Until I'm Blind
I don't understand how blindness ties in with apology...?

It's based on Real-Life, Meister-Migo:
When Your Loved-One points-out "You did This and This and This" you've gotta point-out "Yeah, but that was because of This and This and That"...until you're Blue-in-the-Face. The more nit-picky-Details ya answer-TO, the harder it is to SEE if there's any Real Solution to the Original PROBLEM. JMO, of course.
I honestly think there are a LOT of women out there who'd rather be "Right" than Happy...but...so be it.
Me? Here's an Honest Apology. I've Screwed-Up. I'm Human. Get Over It...or...Here's a Nice Sad Song...& G'Bye!!!
Life's Wayy Too-Short to spend all your time Apologizing. JMO!
Thanks for the insight...Always-Appreciated, Amigo! Best Wishes & a Big Guy-Hug, Stan

Hello Stan.
Funn how these lyrics come across to us individuals.
I saw it in a positive light where as the "singer" is saying, "I am just a man take me as I am" sort of thing,
I did not "see" this as a kick em when he is down song.
Great write none the less and one I can relate to.

"If you are stuck in your musical composing, be unreasonable. Change your environment. If you are stuck in your lyrical efforts, instead of forcing the same old words out, force yourself to do unreasonable things." -Brian Austin Whitney
