This is my first new tune in some time. The vocals need a little work, and maybe another fret up, but we will see. We'll call it a love song and leave it at that. Thanks to Little Stevie B for mixing and mastering this for me as well! http://soundclick.com/share.cfm?id=12911325http://soundclick.com/share.cfm?id=12912280 new 5% faster version Girl Todd G. Strachan Girl, the way you make me feel, when you call my name, is so surreal, oh yeah! Girl, the simple things you do-oo keep me so in love with you what can I say, oh yeah! You're starring in my dreams, you fill my thoughts in between, I fell in love with you on the night we met! You're starring in my dreams, you fill my thoughts in between, How sorry I would be, if we never met. Time, they say it heals every wound, and we've been hurt a time or 2, but our love prevails, oh yeah! So girl, as I sing my song to you, I wanna go on loving you, till the end of days oh yeah! You're starring in my dreams, you fill my thoughts in between, I fell in love with you on the night we met! You're starring in my dreams, you fill my thoughts in between, How sorry I would be, if we never met. You're starring in my dreams, you fill my thoughts in between, I fell in love with you on the night we met! You're starring in my dreams, you fill my thoughts in between, How sorry I would be, if we never met. I fell in love with you on the night we met!

Great melody! I enjoyed the listen and was glad to see you avoided the girl/whirl/world rhymes.

Todd,
Great pop feel to this. The verse melody is particularly well done - catchy and interesting.
The vocal sounds good. However, the song is begging for harmonies - would really put it over the top!
Stevie gave ya a good mix.
It's still running through my head... a good sign...

Hey, you wrote a Beatles song! Very nice.
If you're thinking of re-doing it, I would agree that you could probably fret up a bit, if you mean in pitch--I think that would put more energy into the vocal, and maybe even up the tempo a notch or two. It has a vibrant feel to the composition, but a tad relaxed in the delivery, so those changes might give it more zest. And Floyd is right: harmonies! Maybe even some of the counterpoint kind that come in when the lead isn't singing.
Cool stuff!

Yah...kinda Beatle-ish. Could use counter-part harmonies as well. Good come-back song. Keep up the good work!

Hi Tom,
I'm getting the same vibe as everyone else-definitely a neat era of early Beatle music here. If you use harmonies, you might consider having them gradually appear a bit for build. Nice melody, nice write!

What they said. Very nice. I'll piggyback on the notion of adding harmonies to ice an already fine cake.

Cool stuff! Thanks for the listen Mark! Yeah i stumbled into that guitar lick and it fit, so I borrowed it! I figured out how to change the chords around and sing it more in my range. And I plan on picking up the pace and adding background vocals as well. May take me a bit to get everything lined up, but its worth the effort. Glad you liked it! Todd
