I would like to invite you to check out my song "All Things Wise and Wonderful" on my SoundClick page and see if you like it and think it might fit. I have five postings there, but this is the one that might be best for a child your daughter's age to sing. Also have more lyric sheets available for those I haven't demoed yet. Peace. www.soundclick.com/brianbeecher

hi Kayzen...I have several songs I hope you and your daughter like. unfortunately, I'm having problems with my e-mail. I'm going to post links to the songs here as well as the lyrics. I don't mean to commandeer your thread but it's my only option. You can PM me if needed. http://tunesmithpro.ning.com/profiles/profile/show?id=bjfm3mi5fxfqWhere the Rainbow is the Gold When dark clouds have crossed the morning skies And a salty rain has filled my eyes Let a daydream journey carry me away Let me walk with hope along the sunny highlands Where a bluebird’s song is softer than the silence Cos a stormy morning has a promise to uphold And my spirit won’t be poor, somehow it will rise once more Where the rainbow is the gold When I walk a dark and snowy night Life will only show me black and white May the dawn not settle for a shade of grey Let me sail with faith between Pacific islands Where a dolphin’s song is softer than the silence Cos a cloudy morning has a promise to uphold And my spirit won’t feel poor, somehow it will rise once more Where the rainbow is the gold…where the rainbow is the gold If the chill of winter blows across my chosen road Wrap me in a rainbow like a many colored coat Let me walk with hope along the sunny highlands Let me sail with faith between Pacific islands Cos December mornings have a promise to uphold And my spirit won’t be poor, someday it will rise once more Where the rainbow is the gold…where the rainbow is the gold ©2010 Sharyn Cassidy/Robert George

http://tunesmithpro.ning.com/profiles/profile/show?id=bjfm3mi5fxfqthis is about Patsy Cline. Honky Tonk Angel In some honky tonk in Silver City, a man poured himself a glass of pity 'cause he'd lost his woman and his wage then the juke went dead and from nowhere, a rhinestone girl, a rose in her hair stepped up from the crowd and up on stage without even a guitar player, she sang an old song like a prayer that gave him the strength to go on when she finished he put his glass down, and made his way onto the stage, he looked around but with heaven's grace, she was gone she's a honky tonk angel sent to bind up broken hearts and shine a light on lives grown shadowy and dark she heals you with her voice and lifts you when she sings she's a honky tonk angel and her songs are her wings it's been years now since her song of glory, but now and then he still hears stories from others who once lost it all they say a rhinestone beauty still haunts, these saloons and honky tonks with the songs that helped them walk tall chorus somewhere in the moonlight, she's walking after midnight chorus she's a honky tonk angel... this was recently recorded by bluegrass band Nu Blu on their All the Way cd. here is the demo: http://tunesmithpro.ning.com/profiles/profile/show?id=bjfm3mi5fxfqHeavy Cross to Bear Steven was a medic, serving in Afghanistan Red cross painted on his helmet, dodging bullets in the sand He’d risk his life to rescue, soldiers dyin’ in the dust It was only paint and metal, but to him that helmet was A heavy cross to bear For the true and the brave With courage, light and prayer Someone will be saved Though it’s humble and it’s plain It’s beyond compare That symbol yet remains A heavy cross to bear There’s a one-room country chapel, in the woods of Alabam’ And it’s bid goodbye to heroes, from Japan to Vietnam Simple cross upon the steeple, forged with hope and faith and steel ‘long as liberty is threatened, then that church will always feel A heavy cross to bear For the true and the brave With courage, light and prayer Someone will be saved Though it’s humble and it’s plain It’s beyond compare That symbol yet remains A heavy cross to bear There’s a hill beside a farmhouse, with a footpath on the side And a cross among some crabgrass, made of pine and painted white There’s a widow in the moonlight, and a teardrop epitaph Dozen roses and some dog-tags, and that hill will always have A heavy cross to bear For the true and the brave With courage, light and prayer Someone will be saved Though it’s humble and it’s plain It’s beyond compare That symbol yet remains A heavy cross to bear Copyright 2010 by Robert George & Cameron Earnshaw

here's the last one for now. http://tunesmithpro.ning.com/profiles/profile/show?id=bjfm3mi5fxfqLead Me When I’m Lost When my will is broke and worry fills my brow Burdens weigh me down and I can’t bear the cost Tell me that you hear me now And lead me when I’m lost When I’m wand’ring in an unfamiliar land Life’s a mountaintop I lack the strength to cross Tell me that you’ll take my hand And lead me when I’m lost Lead me when I’m lost Lead me when I’m lost In a midnight meadow Shield me from all shadow Lead me when I’m lost When my soul’s a ship that seeks a friendly port Both the wind and waves have left me torn and tossed Tell me that you hear me, Lord And lead me when I’m lost Lead me when I’m lost Lead me when I’m lost If my faults should blind me Let your blessings find me Lead me when I’m lost May your goodness guide me Let your will be mine tonight May you walk beside me Let your mercy shine tonight And lead me when I’m lost Lead me when I’m lost In a midnight meadow Shield me from all shadow Lead me when I’m lost Lead me when I’m lost Lead me when I’m lost… ©2008 Al Carmichael/Robert George

You can find my lyrical suggestion on the parallel thread. Here is the music the lyrics - "cycles" - were written for: http://www.katejacksonmusic.com/new-songs.html(Acapella = Silentium) I tried to make the lyrics more suitable for a girls' choir than "silentium" which I would consider "adult contemporary" - whatever that means ;-) Yet when Kate showed no interest at all I did the bridge 'free style' (more adult) so this part would not fit. God Bless you. My name is Lee Streitz.
My Springs
I Lord Jesus, I feel today's alive and angel bright I see your glorious face full of love Your spirit travels through me with delight Singing with sweet praises to lift me up
CHORUS: My springs are in you, Lord Jesus My springs are in you I may lose my step and fall to my knees But, your goodness and love always find me My springs are in you Lord Jesus My springs are in you
II Lord Jesus, You’re the light through the darkness of the trees Pull me straight to you, your beloved lamb I long to hear the words that you would say “Don’t cry my child, for you belong to me. You’re my shining light for the word to see"
CHORUS: My springs are in you, Lord Jesus My springs are in you I may lose my step and fall to my knees But, your goodness and love always find me My springs are in you Lord Jesus My springs are in you
III Lord Jesus, Did you know your my favorite melody Through you I have comfort, wisdom and faith Always let your sunshine stay within me With you, I can climb the bridges I face
CHORUS: My springs are in you, Lord Jesus My springs are in you I may lose my step and fall to my knees But, your goodness and love always find me My springs are in you Lord Jesus My springs are in you
Thanks for checking out my lyrics. I hope you enjoy them.

Come Take Me
I Lord I love you Lord I want you Lord my faith you hold Lord to touch you Lord to hug you Lord would calm my soul
CHORUS:
Come take me to the promised land Where lovely church bells are ringing Come take me where the flowers dance Where you are the merciful king
Come take me where everyone bows down As you walk before your Christians Come take me where your angels sing And trumpets sound at your great name
Come take where the white dove flies And where my halo shines so bright Come take me where your peace resides Throughout the heavenly blue skies
II Lord I know you Lord I trust you Lord I seek your face Lord I praise you Lord I thank you Lord in all you made
CHORUS:
Come take me to the promised land Where lovely church bells are ringing Come take me where the flowers dance Where you are the merciful king

I LIFT MY EYES (Lee Streitz)
I Dear Lord I want to feel fulfilled for once Please come and fill me with your love I know I'm falling before you I need you Lord, oh I need you Bring me to your path that is right Bring me where you want me in life
CHORUS: I lift my eyes to you, Lord I lift my eyes to you, Lord I know you'll raise me higher than before You'll light me up brighter than before Right now, I'm tuned into you With what you want me to do I lift my eyes to you, Lord I lift my eyes to you, Lord
II Right now I feel under valued Lost and lonely needing rescue I've made wrong turns and wrong choices Please change me let me hear your voice In you I want to bloom again Please let your light come shining in

Daily Choice (Lee Streitz)
V1 I wake up with the morning star I'm lost in dawn's tranquility There's no worries inside my heart But, the day ahead is not far Bringing it's concerns and struggles I'll be needing you to lean on I might get a little shakin' But with you, I'm not breakin'
CHORUS:
Lord, You're my daily choice My daily choice My daily choice In you I rejoice Your words are clear And I hold them dear Thanks for being my friend You're great to confide in
V2 With these strains this day will contain I'll keep looking at your picture Bringing me to you and my faith Surrendering my day to your rapture Now I won't feel so trampled on With thoughts that I'm not good enough For in you I am good enough And in you Jesus I place my trust
Chorus:
Lord, You're my daily choice My daily choice My daily choice In you I rejoice Your words are clear And I hold them dear Thanks for being my friend You're great to confide in
V3 As we gather at our table Our glasses we lift up to you With thankful hearts, honor and praise To you the only one who's true The holy son of our Father So deserving of our honor With you my life is richer You've been a wonderful teacher
Chorus:
Lord, You're my daily choice My daily choice My daily choice In you I rejoice Your words are clear And I hold them dear Thanks for being my friend You're great to confide in
V4 And now at the end of the day I bow my head to you and pray Thanks for your love restoring me Physically and spirtually While I'm sleeping under the stars I know you'll be holding my heart With angels watching from above You'll protect me in your deep love
Chorus:
Lord, You're my daily choice My daily choice My daily choice In you I rejoice Your words are clear And I hold them dear Thanks for being my friend You're great to confide in
Thanks for checking out my lyrics. I hope you enjoy them.

A NEW LIGHT (Lee Streitz)
I Jesus, I come before you today In your mighty presence of silence You see I'm hurting and need to pray To have your forgiveness sent my way
CHORUS: Jesus, please see me in a new light A new light, a new light, a new light One that has learned the right from the wrong That's why I am singing this gracious song It's an endless bridge to you most high
II Please accept me to eternity I promise I'll never be the same Now I feel free in your love for me I'm made new and I'll uphold your name
CHORUS: Jesus, please see me in a new light A new light, a new light, a new light One that has learned the right from the wrong That's why I am singing this gracious song It's an endless bridge to you most high
III I'm glad you see me pure in your sight Together we can stay burning bright Thank you for your love, mercy and grace Where you are the sun shines on my face
CHORUS: Jesus, please see me in a new light A new light, a new light, a new light One that has learned the right from the wrong That's why I am singing this gracious song It's an endless bridge to you most high

Hi, here's another children lyric for you. I hope you like it. (Lee Streitz)
Under the Tree
1 I wake up to a lovely dawn Looking out my window I see My favorite tree waving at me Inviting me to come and play Under branches of leaves so green On this gorgeous sun shiny day
CHORUS: My favorite place to be Is under the tree Where I can just be me I sit and look about At all God's wonders Waiting for me to see My favorite place to be Is under the tree
II Laying my head back in the grass I pull down my blue summer cap Drifting off I dreamily nap Melodies of the morning I hear Woodpeckers, geese and birds so dear All beautiful sounds in my ear
CHORUS
III There is comfort in the tree's shade I am watching squirrels play chase Ducks are parading down to the lake I take a sip of lemonade And feel something soft on my arm A caterpillar is crawling
CHORUS
IV I swing back and forth in the breeze Smiling joyfully, feeling free Butterflies and birds joining me I smell perfume from sweet flowers And fresh cut grass from the mower
CHORUS
Thanks for checking out my lyrics. I hope you enjoy them.

Just decided to follow up to see if you ever checked out any of my pieces on SoundClick. I didn't post the lyrics to every song but did begin updating over the weekend and may finish it out today. The song I had in mind was "All Things Wise and Wonderful". I have other lyrics not yet demoed and will search my files for a couple. I put mine in batches according to the year they were written in. Nearly all of them have been posted on this board since I became a member of it some six years ago. Now looking for perhaps a mentor who would be good at amping up the communication network to a whole next level.

she is a cutie!...I have three daughters, not one sings...lol BUT I heard this from one of them one night..its not a complete song but I thought it would make a good chorus, I can add a simple track to it. I think I would ask what a little girl would say. maybe get some ideas from her, and have a few people here write with Her or add what they might have...she has to sing it so it would be very important what she is comfortable with. just my thought.
"chorus the times I laugh and the times I cry somehow I know your there by my side...ooo.. this is--------------Jesus..talking to you this is-------------Jesus...and I am talking to you
