Hey Calvin,
Very cool ambience created by this tune. Really dig the guitars. At times, I had a Roger Waters feel about it, but then again he is always singing about lunatics. Well done. Very stark recording which works really well ofr the tone set by the lyric.

This one is pretty spooky, Calvin. I had trouble deciphering the vocal without looking at the words. Of course, I understand it's a work tape.

Hi Calvin,
This could have been theme music for the last "villain" that Raylan Givens faced in "Justified" --that ends of course with an "endgame" like showdown in that series finale.
A mysterious portrait--very descriptive yet abstract. Very cool.

I saw the title and wondered if this would be a song about the game of Chess. I think you have wandered over to the dark side with this one... and it sure might work well as a "themesong" of a "Thriller Movie." A really clever lyric and the music fits the overall scheme of things. Well done. ---Dave

I really like this one. Gothic.
The dark lyrics, guitar and quiet husky voice combine into something quite beautiful.
