http://www.soundclick.com/player/single_player.cfm?songid=13440985&q=hiLooking for feedback. Blind, Deaf, and Dumb [08/27/2016] the rain's fallin' down on this sunday afternoon. I'm sittin' around with nothin' much to do. grand kids are here both playin' on the floor. healthy and happy who could ask for more? not me. what 'bout you? not me. then who? someone blind to beauty and life that holds the key. hope that it's not you.... it's not me. when I listen to the music of all that surrounds me. I want to sing along, carrin' the beat. steppin' and a singin' right along in time. sharin' every melody, who'd leave that behind? not me. what 'bout you? not me. then who? someone deaf to laughter, who never sees the need. hope that it's not you... it's not me. day to day I'm livin' through the daily livin' grind. makin' the best the best use of my time. livin' for the moment, the moment that's at hand. might be hard for some. who don't understand. not me. what 'bout you? not me. then who? blind, deaf, and dumb to the magic they can't see. hope that it's not you....it's not me. Hi Doug:
I think you are headed in the right direction. The mic volume needed adjusting but the melody and lyric work well. The song has potential so don't let it slide. Best of luck with it. ----Dave

Thank you Dave. Considering the changes, vocally, as I reply.

Douglas,
Good development as the song progress. The reverb is a bit heavy for this type song. I would slow it down just a bit (maybe 5 bpm) to allow the words to settle in some...

I couldn't help thinking about playing a mean pinball when I read the title.
I agree with the others who said that it seemed a bit rushed and the vocal is drowning in 'verb and delay. I would also focus on pronouncing the words as we would say them in conversation with the accent on the appropriate syllable. It sticks out like a sore thumb when you mispronounce a word to make it fit the beat or rhyme. If it is impossible to pronounce it properly in the context of the song, the song needs a rewrite IMHO.

We need more of this. Upbeat (both music and message) and positive!
We like it. As others have mentioned we agree that a reduction vocal reverb would allow it to sit much better in the mix.
Nice!

I like that banjo, Doug. A little bluegrass now and then is a good thing.

Production wise it's been said, Doug. Sounds like were listening to a neighbour's BBQ about two streets away. Worth having a few more tries at it.
