This is part 2 in my short series of light-hearted videos about our spines and how to best use them so we can stay active and keep playing well into our old age. It uses some of the information gathered during my PhD research, but don't worry - it's easy to follow.

Interesting.

Vic

It's never too late? Yes it is, so do it now.

If, given time, a monkey can write the complete works of Shakespeare maybe there's hope for me.

Nah, this is how I sit at my workstation. Notice the back slump and the snake arms. My head's right in there with the music. Notice the intensity and stressful tension in my neck veins. And always have a cup of coffee within reaching distance. Now, don't make me correct you again Mr. Transformer!

Don't sleep in one type of position or where you lie. And backpacks filled too much can strain the back

Thoughtful topic.

I'll tell you what's hard on the back. Shoveling heavy snow. We had almost a foot here - and it's heavy. I'll be aching in the morning.

I have to ask: does that mouse have a roller ball? Or is it a standard optical mouse?

I remember when these optical mice first emerged in the markets. I couldn't believe how expensive they were and I dreamed of owning one (I was a kid and my days involved playing Quake 2 for hours).

How times have changed! You can get a decent wireless optical mouse for less the cost of a breakfast

Shuddering is a good technique when you need a tremolo effect.

I remember many many years ago when a mouse was called a turtle. The were first exhibited at an exhibition and everyone said that the human eye/hand coordination would never be able to work together enough to use a turtle. So the idea was shelved for a few years.

My My... how wrong can you be. lol

Then again, I had the first home computer with a touch screen, made by HP if I remember rightly. The touch sensitivity was so bad that after 10 minutes of use, my middle finger due to hitting the screen was as dead as a twig...lol.

Again, how things have changed lol

God Bless Roy and Helen

Hi again, Mr. Transformer: (or is it Ms?)

Now that I've reached "old age"... and still don't play well... you have given me the reason for my miserable technique. LOL! Maybe they will begin manufacturing something for keyboards like one of those "lifting workspace "thingies" for worker bees to place on their desks to change from the sitting to the standing position???

Roy, I'm not sure I ever heard about the "Turtle-Mouse"... but it was an idea whose time had come. I do remember the early touch screens. Come to think of it, my "Dumb Smart Phone" has a "touch screen from Hell" built into it. I use the darn thing in "Airplane Mode" to store and play my MP3s. Good to see you posting again.

Er... well, my marital status is no-one else's business, so I guess Ms. is acceptable.

Yes, it's rather surprising to find that something so commonplace is so often done incorrectly.

Sorry, Transformer:

Our world, due to political correctness has evolved into a bunch of weasels and wombats looking for an excuse to scream at old men for not using the correct terminology when addressing someone, especially womenfolk. Sorry if I offended you... or you thought I was inquiring about your marital status. I've been married (to the same sweet lady) for more than fifty years now. If you wonder how I should be addressed or referred to: "Your Nothingness" works for me! Laughing uncontrollably! ----Dave
