For those of you who may be thinking that I must be one ungodly raging a$$hole for doing this, I have a confession to make... You're Right! In fact, that's the whole point. You see, 20some odd years ago when I first ventured out into cyberspace, I met a few guys who are still here today. So, make no mistake, they can positively attest to precisely what kind of bombastic SOB I'm capable of being lol. However, for the sake of my own integrity and peace of mind, I like to think that there was (and still is) always method to my madness. I'm a counter-puncher, and I'm the same today as I was 20yrs ago. I don't go looking for arguments, but, and sometimes to my own detriment lol, I never back down from them!

Then there's Dom........ Ya'll have no clue how exhausting it is for me to bite my tongue and feign comical indifference; that's just not my style. I've gotten better at it over the years, but everyone has their limit. Yesterday Dom suggested that I was being underhandedly insulting to two other people on this site. What Dom doesn't know is that those two other men (I hope they're here) can verify with absolute certainty that, if I was actually being insulting, there would be no doubt.

My hope now is that what follows will satisfy two goals;
1- Dom and I really get to know each other
2- We all get to clear the air just a bit

I'll start with this...

-Dom finds a way to slip Springsteen into absolutely every Dom'd conversion Dom butts into!

Mentioning Springsteen has a tradition to it. I used to frequent that other site, a country site. All they cared about was Country writers, and never considered somebody like Bruce. I edit, because i actually want this to be a music site, when it becomes too much of everything else, thats not good. I say what m thinking, I dont have a great filter, but I am learning how snowflakes need to be treated. I bust balls and get my balls busted, all the time, nobody cries. That's how we are here, maybe the rest of the country is not like that. I go over it and decide whether its something they can handle.

I look back on times the three of us would "pick on" each other and think it was all in good fun. Hell, the three of us have been compared to the three stooges lol... But something has changed since then, our banter has become more adversarial. I keep trying to "make lite" of exchanges between us but it's just not working anymore. Now, I wonder if what I contributed to that last exchange with Marty was just fuel on the fire. I don't even know exactly how the argument between you and Marty ever got started since the two of you are such prolific posters. I pulled this up this morning and debated answering it. But am. My deciding to withdraw from this site has nothing to do with you. I've always enjoyed you and never felt like you were coming at me in a malevolent manner. Zany maybe. We argue points but at the end, you always roll off friendly.

I looked over that last thread and thought about some other passed threads and concluded that I am the odd man out... and the one that should leave.

I enjoy debating things here. I will gladly point out why someone's opinion is wrong, ignorant, deluded. But when I realized that Dom had gone on the internet and done a search of me and then came back with a video of me singing a song and then... not only demeaned the song...but then unloaded on the personal appearance of a 68 year old man....I knew that something was truly broken in a very real sense.

On a couple of occasions, I've leaned towards returning that level of insult, but it is not something that I can or want to sustain. It's dark and cyber bullying in a textbook form.

JPF.com allows Dom to ramble about and I accept that and resign to it. Dom gets the win. Time for me to take a pass.

I'm still working on some songs. WIll put them up on Gavin's site. See you over there sometime. I just bought a new dual sport last week and there are some dirt roads that I plan to do in the Appalachians. My best friend from childhood lives in Huntsville. I always stay with him when in the area. Will look you up.

This past week I've painted my workshop, refinanced my house, zeroed in the scope on my .30-06, and finished two songs. This morning I've already done my laundry and went grocery shopping, yet I've still had time to argue with you...

How may times has DimDoDoDom butted into someone else's conversation, tried to change the subject, wound up starting a stupid argument about something completely unrelated, then went off on a rant about this being a "music site" and such conversations don't belong here anyway!?! If DanglingDildoDominoid would shut up and take his own Dom'd advice, perhaps he would get more recording done!

Dont blame the site or the owner of the site, because you choose to talk about whatever you want to talk about. Nobody is going to complain if you talk about music, but what is discussed?
