https://www.soundclick.com/share.cfm?id=15129062A new AI with a old title some might recall from an early Dylan album? Not copied internally not that it matters I'm sure. There was a rewrite done leaving a couple of typos when reading the lyric. I'll sort that soon.

Somber song John.
Your lyrics portrayed a state of mind very well.
Personally, I would have matched them with music that was more brooding, nonetheless, the music worked.

John Prine would not be brooding , it works for me , nicely written John. Wanna have some more fun ? , try this promt .
Prompt for Suno:
Title: Desolation Row
Style: Outlaw country / Americana storytelling
Mood: Gritty, lonely, and cinematic — the sound of dust settling after a storm.
Vocal tone: Weathered and sincere, like someone who's lived every word they’re singing.
Theme: A journey through a forgotten stretch of town called Desolation Row — a place full of ghosts, lost dreams, and quiet reckonings. The singer moves through memories of love, regret, and survival, trying to make peace with what’s left.
Imagery & phrases to inspire lyrics: “rusted neon,” “whiskey rain,” “a jukebox with one song left,” “ghosts of the last rodeo,” “no trains running anymore,” “smoke curling from an old bar window.”
Tempo: Slow to mid-tempo (70–90 BPM).
Instruments: Acoustic guitar, slide or steel guitar, upright bass, brushed drums, and a touch of harmonica.
It feels like a long walk down an empty road.
Overall feel: Desolate but beautiful — a quiet anthem for those who never quite made it out.

Hi bennash I wouldn't dare mention the great much lamented John Prine in the same sentence as John Vaughan lol That's a great piece of help and feedback! Will be copied and pasted. Thanks for your comments and help John
