You'll find the retired ...ahem Elvis on another site, giving critiques, which he never did here .. everything here was good.

Because certain people didn't want it?

Either way it's fake.

Nobody ever told me how to be a member, I learned some lessons from this site, but sad what happened here

It does that matter , no one posting on forums is ever going to be a star , Yes I'm retired from all music
Writers for the most part never listen to pro writers advice and now with AI it's futile to continue the dream of music. I spend 4 years building a YouTube channel , All in vain . I spent most my money on music , only to wake up 2 months ago and face reality , I'm going nowhere . I guess I can say I tried . But thats zero comfort right now . 20 years pursing music . All I have is 100's of songs nobody wants to hear and being elderly and an unstable future .

At least you tried, that has some success attached to it. Success and failure comes in degrees, very few make it to the top but even touching a few along the way is success. If you never tried you would always wonder if I had tried, would I have made it. Many artist of the past were failures in their day but are now looked on in awe for what they did back then. Were they ahead of their time or were people back then not appreciative of what they did. Time will tell.

I can understand your disappointment in today's music industry Elvis (your real name?). AI created an even playing field between the talented and untalented. In the near future composing and songwriting will be considered a lost art. AI will satisfy the masses with superficial music, movies, books, etc. My bro sold his guitar several years ago. I'll never sell my piano.

its Ben Krahne , I chose Elvis Nash to trick myself into writing better songs , I'm not sure it was the name change or just the 30 years writing songs
thanks

Can you expand on what that link is? Is that Lady Gaga singing? Is that an existing 'real' song? Is it something created by AI? Only the music after inputting the lyric? What's the story on this? I am, apparently, needing to catch up on the AI front. I have kind of pushed it aside for months but... hmmm...

I am not certain of anything when it comes to AI, but reasonably sure that the video is AI generated, along with the rendition.

These "shorts" are showing up one after the other in my YouTube Feed without any identification of the artist. The tip-off was one of the first ones where she was strumming a guitar out-of-sync with the beat of the song

Ok, I now see that Lady Gaga does, in fact, have a song entitled "Always Remember Us This Way." Which I guess is the song playing. So, that link might contain audio of her actual song. It sounds like her. So, the youtube short might just be showing that they are doing a decent job with animation? Yes, the strumming is not totally realistic.

But I was wondering if that audio that we hear there is an A.I. generated song. I am not that familiar with her music, didn't know the song. I was going to be bummed out if A.I. actually created that audio that we hear, lol. I need to dig into A.I. and what is going on currently with A.I. "writing" songs. I'm not nearly as concerned about creating A.I. singing voices, it is the songwriting that worries me and I have not paid enough attention to this development.

EDIT: Also not as concerned about A.I. generating an audio rendition of an existing song, complete with a vocal that sounds like a certain artist. Yes, that is bad, but not as bad (to me) as A.I. doing actual songwriting. Bummer!

Well that video is plain obvious a fake, piano playing softly as she strums a campfire rhythm on guitar.

It's just a lady Gaga styled song, "always remember us this way", but not as good as hers, and a lady Gaga vocal which is not as good as her .

People are either using udio or suno here, mostly as to set their lyrics to music.

There are hundreds of examples in the song section.

AI can you provide you with lyric, melody, Chord progression , production and vocal style.

That's what makes people think their song is good.

I dont have any use for ai writing my song, that's my job

You can write your own song and enter it into suno as a cover version, and it will give you a demo of it, 100% yours.

There's something for everybody in it.

What's going to matter is if the song is good enough to capture an audience

Great singing has never been a break point for listeners.

American idol winners rarely are so successful.

AI can produce anything that is theoretically better than human , it's still about relating to the artist , I'm still not hearing anybody playing ai songs in their car, or on the radio

What people are not understanding is their songs are NOT that good.

Sound good , the sound playing field has been leveled

What's crazier is people are doing cover versions of songs and charging for them. Get permission and they can do it

People are universally allowed to cover songs on Youtube for free. Live performances of any song are allowed with few exceptions. That is supposedly why the PROs exist, to get royalties to the right people. But they really don't even try. It is simply allocated based on "reported" airplay, so a local band could play their songs for decades all over town and never sniff a royalty payment. It's all a typical scheme.

I feel your pain. I've been writing for 51 years, now. I've never liked my own voice or productions, but I love writing. And since my playing and producing hardly rose above mediocrity, I am going to finally realize just how good my songs really are by listening to them being done by a GREAT sounding band.
I'm going to use the Suno cover feature. Still, if no one wants to listen, at this point, I really don't care.

I'm going to use the Suno cover feature. Still, if no one wants to listen, at this point, I really don't care.

Good idea Tom

If Springsteen can keep touring , I guess I can do a song once in awhile. Willles still at it at 92. I don't agree with Rick Beato today's music sucks. I think Ricks being sued by a major label on posting their stars. UMG I think.

Well I'm back after 4 months of depression on more songs . Write song after song after song . then sleep 20 hours and forget what day it is. Not that I remembered before .

What depression feels like .
It feels like your bones are made of lead and your heart’s been unplugged.
The world keeps moving but you’re stuck behind glass, watching yourself fade.
Even breathing feels like remembering a promise you can’t keep.

What matters that you keep writing even if you don't feel like it. Even" Empty Pages can be a hook " AI, studio songs , it really don't matter , its momentum that counts.

That’s very descriptive. Nice writing Elvis. Have you written a lyric that captures this yet, that you can reference?
